Dakota Johnson has made her standards clear when it comes to dating men, and shared what her ultimate red flag is.
It’s a non-negotiable for her
The 36-year-old actress shared her non-negotiable rule when it comes to men in a Q&A video interview with Vogue posted on Tuesday, October 21.
The interviewer asked if she looked out for any red flags, to which she replied, “Men who wear flip flops in public. Run.”
She also spoke about her routine
The Materialists star also opened up about her beauty routine in a different interview published by the outlet on the same day.
She explained that she has an unusual hair-trimming ritual, and is committed to her bangs despite their high maintenance.
Johnson prefers to keep her bangs
“I’ve had bangs since I was a kid,” the actress shared. “I cut them myself when I was about four, and I absolutely loved them.”
“I’ve had them my whole life, except for when I was about 10 to 14. I just feel like myself with bangs.”
They can be high maintenance for her
Johnson added that keeping her bangs can be high maintenance, saying, “Would I be happy not to have to trim them all the time? 100 percent.”
“But I also always travel with scissors, and I love to drink a martini while trimming my own bangs.”
It doesn’t always go as planned
While she enjoys the hair cutting ritual of trimming her own bangs with a martini in hand, Johnson admitted this combination has gone wrong in the past, but ‘not every time’.
She also spoke about her haircare routine, which is quite low maintenance in comparison to having to trim her bangs.
She doesn’t tend to style it
“I don’t use any styling products and let my hair air dry,” Johnson said.
“Right now, it’s still a little damp, but I don’t do anything to it. When I’m filming, it’s different, of course,” she added during the interview.
Her stylists take care of it on red carpets
Johnson went on to share that, for red carpet events, she turns to hairstylists Mark Townsend or George Northwood.
“They take really good care of my hair,” she said. “It’s super long, but my hair and nails grow fast. I think it just has to do with what you do internally. I eat very healthy, drink lots of water, and don’t do too much to my hair.”
