Pedro Pascal is known and loved by the internet as a mustached man, and it seems he would also rather keep his facial hair after undertaking one role that changed his perspective on his appearance.
He’s known by his facial hair
The Fantastic Four: First Steps actor is known to the world by his facial hair, which has become a key part of his trademark look.
And his appearance in Wonder Woman 1984 completely changed the way he views his facial hair.
He was clean-shaven for the role
The 50-year-old actor had to be clean-shaven for his role as villain Maxwell Lord in the 2020 DC Comics movie.
In Wonder Woman 1984, which was directed by Patty Jenkins, Pascal is without his trademark facial hair.
He didn’t like the way he looked

Pascal explained that he was rather dismayed by the way he appeared in the movie, telling LADBible, “I grow such s*** facial hair, but if I were to shave it all off… I really look very [awful].”
“Strongly disagree with a clean shaven me.”
Pascal decided to never shave again
“I was so appalled by the way I look in Wonder Woman 1984. I loved the movie, but I was so appalled by the way that I looked that I never have gone back, unless it were completely necessary,” the actor explained.
He would’ve shaved for his most recent role
Pascal added that he would have shaved for his most recent role as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps movie if the makers had required him to.
But he also noted that it was a “very collaborative creation for all of our looks in the movie,” so he didn’t shave for it.
A lot of people don’t like his look in the movie

Pascal’s casting in the Fantastic Four movie received a bit of backlash online from comic book fans who didn’t like the fact that he appears in the movie with a mustache when Reed Richards is clean-shaven in the comics.
But Pascal is aware of the criticism
Speaking to Vanity Fair on his casting in the Marvel movie, Pascal said, “I’m more aware of [the] disgruntlement around my casting than anything I’ve ever done: ‘He’s too old. He’s not right. He needs to shave.’”
But hey, the mustache is his trademark for a reason.
