Mother’s Day is coming up fast and I hope you’ve planned out an epic day for your mom. Flowers, cards, brunch, you know, the whole deal. Do not, I repeat, do not wait until the last minute this year.
If you are stumped as to what to get your mom, maybe Chrissy Teigen’s advice will strike some inspiration. Her hilarious and relatable answer might be what all moms are craving this year.
Chrissy Teigen is killing it as a busy working mom to two young children.
Somehow, Chrissy finds time to host shows, model on magazine covers, and write cookbooks while raising her two adorable kids.
Chrissy and her husband, John Legend, are the parents of three-year-old Luna and nearly one-year-old Miles.
They are really such a loving and down-to-earth family.
She’s always kept it real when it comes to opening up about parenting topics.
From this hilarious photo of Luna and Miles in the grocery store, to discussing more serious issues like postpartum d********n, Chrissy is always super honest with her fans and followers.
She’s also been candid and open about her struggle with infertility and undergoing IVF treatment for both of her pregnancies.
By talking about these issues, Chrissy has helped a lot of other moms out there.
She will clearly go the extra mile for her kids.
Like agreeing to dress up like Jasmine to play princess with Luna. Since she’s such an incredible mom, obviously Chrissy deserves the best this Mother’s Day.
But what to get the mom who seems to have it all? Well, Chrissy has the best answer.
In a new interview with Buzzfeed, Chrissy has revealed what she actually wants for Mother’s Day.
“I’ve never been a big gift person. I really enjoy giving other people gifts, but the only thing I want is a card that says, ‘You don’t need to respond to this,'” she said .
Like all busy moms, Chrissy knows that responding to all those gifts and cards can be a little time consuming.
“When you get all the texts and everything, you’re just like ‘Oh c**p, now I gotta respond to everybody.’ And when I get a gift, I have to write you a handwritten thank-you card and the burden of that right now is a lot. So honestly, the greatest gift is people not asking for a reply,” she said .
I think a lot of moms would agree with Chrissy on this one!
We’re grateful for all the cards and gifts, but please don’t expect a hand-written thank you card every time, okay? Okay.
