Although the $50 million defamation lawsuit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is in its home stretch, that doesn't mean its surprises have stopped as a truck made to look like a ship from a Pirates of the Caribbean movie has just cruised past the courthouse.

The trial has seen more than its share of dramatic moments since it began at a courthouse in Fairfax County, Virginia, but the excitement has definitely bled out into the streets surrounding it as well.

And while Heard's fans have come through with supportive demonstrations of their own, it's clear that the lawsuit has inspired a passionate and sustained showing of support from Depp's fans both online and in person.

It's also clear that Depp has welcomed their support as he's been known to both engage them in Captain Jack Sparrow's voice and make breakfast for them.

But while he's shown something of a flair for the dramatic during these proceedings, it seems that at least one dedicated fan is now upping the ante by driving one elaborate truck past the courthouse as the jury deliberates.

After a dramatic and public trial, the jury is now deliberating and in the process of deciding whether to side with Depp or Heard.

And while TMZ reported that Depp made some surprise overseas performances during Memorial Day weekend, he has since returned to the United States to await the results up close.

But if he's seen the outside of the courthouse lately, he's likely been treated to quite the spectacle.

As we can see here, a truck decorated to look like a ship from a Pirates of the Caribbean movie cruised past the Fairfax County Courthouse.

And the idea here seemed similar to the floats we see during parades as The New York Post reported that rather than driving by on its own, the truck sat atop a larger flatbed vehicle that slowly passed by the building.

Since it was adorned with a large banner featuring Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, it's not exactly hard to figure out who this display is supporting.

In addition to mock cannons at the sides and bow of the "ship," the truck also features a mannequin dressed like Sparrow taking the helm.

Certainly not something you normally expect outside of a courthouse, but it's on-brand for the enthusiasm Depp's fans have shown there every day since the trial began.

And as far as Texas civil attorney Katherine Lizardo saw it, this has been precisely the response Depp has hoped for.

As Lizardo put it, "I think for Johnny Depp, winning the legal side of the defamation claim does not matter to him. Winning – it would just be icing on the cake for him because his main goal for filing the defamation lawsuit was to clear his name and to appeal to the court of public opinion."

If this is indeed true, then the popular response to this trial would suggest that he's already got what he wanted no matter what happens.
