1. His big break came in 1995 when he was cast in National Lampoon’s cult classic, *Senior Trip*.

Jeremy played the criminally underachieving Mark ‘ Dags ‘ D’Agastino.
If you’re looking for a great way to kill an afternoon, I’d highly recommend adding it to your list.
2. His mom means everything to him.

Jeremy appeared on the HGTV show Celebrity IOU . He got his hands dirty and helped remodel his mom’s outdated condo.
According to Jeremy, if it weren’t for his mother, he wouldn’t be here today. Fair warning, this one’s a tear-jerker.
3. Jeremy appeared in a P!nk music video!
Jeremy made a cameo appearance in P!nk’s “Trouble.” He plays a dark and mysterious outlaw, dressed all in black.
If they ever make a sequel to 3:10 to Yuma , I know who they should cast in the lead role!
4. He broke both of his arms filming the movie *Tag*.
Jeremy was performing a stunt and the rigging securing his chair broke. When he hit the ground, he knew he’d injured himself but he didn’t realize how badly.
He performed the stunt a second time and quickly realized he needed to go to the hospital.
5. There’s one role that still haunts him to this day.

One of Jeremy’s early breakout roles came in 2002 when he portrayed the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer .
According to Jeremy, he still can’t go into bars alone, for fear that someone will put something in his drink.
6. Jeremy is a musician!
The first time that we got to see the extent of Jeremy’s musical abilities was during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon .
Jeremy performed a parody version of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” in the vein of Hawkeye!
He also recently released a brand new EP!
The title track, “The Medicine,” is an honest and introspective look into Jeremy’s personal struggles. The lyrics are a retelling of his tumultuous relationship with his ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco.
It’s a beautifully tortured acoustic-rock ballad.
7. Jeremy is a father!
To a beautiful baby girl! Jeremy and ex-wife Sonni Pacheco had their child in April of 2013. They named her Ava Berlin .
If Marvel ever decides to introduce Kate Bishop into the MCU, I know who they can call!
8. In order to make money early on in his career, Jeremy worked as a makeup artist.
Jeremy learned how to do makeup from his theater days.
He said doing actresses’ makeup allowed him the freedom to pursue auditions because he’d only have to work a few hours a day.
9. He has a lot more in common with Hawkeye than you think.

To help Jeremy prepare for his daunting role in the MCU, Jeremy began training in martial arts.
He trains Muay Tai, as well as a Filipino fight style, known as Arnis — which basically just teaches you to fight with sticks and bladed weapons!
10. Jeremy absolutely slayed *Carpool Karaoke*.
Jeremy appeared alongside Ed Helms and John Hamm. They perform several memorable numbers but without a doubt, my favorite has to be “You Give Love A Bad Name.”

12. Jeremy’s been nominated for 2 Academy Awards.

The first time Jeremy got a taste for Oscar gold came in 2010 when he was nominated for Best Actor in The Hurt Locker .
He gave arguably the performance of his career the following year in The Town . Unfortunately for Jeremy, he was edged out by Christian Bale.
11. He lent his expertise to a worthy Barstool Sports cause.
If you’re not familiar with Barstool Sports, they’re a testosterone-soaked sports media company caught in a perpetual state of arrested development.
That may sound like a slight, but really it’s just a backhanded compliment.
Jeremy, host Dave Portnoy, and the rest of the Tag cast helped determine the best pizza in Manhattan.
13. He once gave a hilarious Walk of Fame induction speech for his *Avengers* co-star, Scarlett Johansson

The relationship between Jeremy and Scarlett on-screen is just as palpable in real-life. Jeremy’s love for ScarJo is clear as can be.
They appear to be the best of friends, and their relationship is incredibly playful.
14. Jeremy is a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan.

Jeremy was watching a game between San Fran and the Seattle Seahawks. He was also running late for his premiere of American Hustle .
So he decided to compromise. He’d attend the premiere, but he made sure to bring his iPad so that he was still able to watch the game!
