How would you deal with it if you found out your partner was cheating on you ? Of course, there’s the obvious caveat that nobody wants to be in this predicament . But if it were to happen, how would you make the best of a bad situation?
There are different approaches to the situation, but the most bombastic may be taking out a full-page newspaper ad to announce the news.
Cheating: it happens.

This statement is not intended to excuse cheating . After all, betraying your partner is a lousy thing to do. But cheating is something that’s always happened and always will happen, ensuring that there are always couples out there who struggle with infidelity.
There are more than a few ways to call out cheaters.

If there are literal Ashley Madison billboards that advertise the benefits of cheating , there should be an equally high-profile way to call out cheaters.
An Australian woman evidently did just that, taking out an ad in a newspaper.
Anyone can take out a newspaper ad.

Print media may be dying, but it still exists — and it will take your money if you want to pony up the dough to advertise. The Aussie newspaper Mackay and Whitsunday Life was happy to print an ad taken out by an angry partner.
Here’s the ad in question.

It’s a bit of a doozy. The whole thing is written in big, bold letters, black on white, calling Steve out for being a no-good cheater. His partner, Jenny, twists the knife a bit by saying that she used his credit card to pay for the ad.
The newspaper has issued some clarifications.

This story has grown and grown, providing the humble newspaper with perhaps its biggest story ever . A Facebook post clarified a few details, but didn’t give us the juicy details we were likely all hoping for.
Does the saga continue?

This post piggybacks on the virality of the Jenny/Steve drama, but it’s clearly a tongue-in-cheek joke. The real Steve probably wants to hide in a hole right now, rather than make his infidelity even more of a story.
If you’re not Jenny or Steve, it’s a fun story.

“As soon as the newspaper hit the stands, we were inundated with calls from the community,” the newspaper wrote . There’s just something about a cheating partner getting outed to the whole world that resonates with the drama-hungry denizens of the internet, apparently.
It’s nice to see newspapers making a comeback.

Will this story lead to the resurgence of print media? Of course not. But there’s something to be said about an ad in an actual newspaper. It has a tangible quality that an internet posting just can’t match.
What do you think?

Infidelity is tough for any couple to deal with. Sometimes the aggrieved party just wants to put their cheating partner on blast. What do you think of this story? If you were Jenny and you found out Steve was cheating, would you react the same way? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
