Well, there’s a title I never thought I’d have to write, but alas, here we are. For fans of Games of Thrones , the hit HBO series House of the Dragon was like a redemption song for the atrocity that was the show’s series finale.
And while GOT fans know that many disgusting behaviors are depicted in the OG series and the new prequel, it’s up to us, the viewers, to understand that certain things, including i****t, are not okay.

Well, it seems that one publication is here to push the envelope.
Cosmopolitan is all about being s*x-positive, and we love that… for the most part. However, when it comes to celebrating “hot” incestual relationships on House of the Dragon, it does make you feel all kinds of icky, doesn’t it?
As reported by Pop Crave on Twitter, Cosmo is being called out for sharing an article titled “Now That ‘House of the Dragon’ Is Over, I’ll Say It: I****t Fantasies are Hot.”
As you can imagine, this article caused an immediate backlash.
They have since changed the title to “So, We’re All Just…Fine with I****t on TV Now?” but it seems the message still remains.
A paragraph in the article reads: “There’s nothing morally okay about inter-family s*x, no matter how hot the actors and how palpable the chemistry. And yet, week after week since August 21, fans have rooted—nay, thirsted —for Daemon and Rhaenyra Targaryen on House of the Dragon , and I, dear reader, am one of them.”
“In my non-professional, non-TV critic capacity, I think it’s safe to say the actors (Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy) have the kind of chemistry that makes me constantly just want more of them, a concept I was totally fine with until I realized I was l*****g for scenes featuring an uncle-and-niece duo,” the article continues.
“Was I uncomfortable? Yes. Was I hungry for more? Also yes.”
Of course, we all know the actors themselves are not related, but fans have to admit it is a bit weird that there’s such a strong fanbase for an uncle and niece coupling.
While I get it’s just a show and they’re just actors, is writing an article praising i****t fantasies really the right move?
