While the world is divided on many issues, one of the things I think we can all agree on is how absolutely fabulous Liza Minnelli is. Yes, her parents were both famous and talented, but she is the real deal. Liza is undeniably one of the most iconic women in Hollywood .

In the weeks following the 94th Annual Academy Awards, a lot has come to light.
Of course, there was the Will Smith and Chris Rock debacle, but there was also Liza Minnelli’s appearance with Lady Gaga. While fans were initially delighted to see the Cabaret star, we later learned things weren’t totally what they appeared.
As fans will recall, Lady Gaga accompanied Liza Minnelli on stage to present the final award of the night in one of the show’s most memorable moments.
As People magazine reported, ” Lady Gaga requested that Liza present the award with her.”
A few weeks after the pair’s appearance, Liza’s good friend and frequent collaborator Michael Feinstein explained the pair’s moment in more detail.
“She was sabotaged,” he explained on the SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show.”
“That’s a terrible word to use, but she only agreed to appear on the Oscars if she would be in a director’s chair because she’s been having back trouble.”
“She said, ‘I don’t want people to see me limping out there.’ She said, ‘You know, I want to look good. I don’t want people to worry about me.'”
Michael explained that in the hour before Lady Gaga and Liza were to hit the stage, organizers were in a fluster following the Will Smith and Chris Rock incident.
According to Michael, a stage manager informed Liza just minutes before her presentation that she would be seated in a wheelchair and not in a director’s chair as she requested.
“She was nervous,” he said, “and it made her look like she was out of it.”
Now, a previously unseen video of Liza singing in the back of a limo on her way to the award show is going viral.
Liza can be seen smiling in the video, shared by Michael, to the camera, while belting out a classic tune and smoking a cigarette.
“This is the best thing ever,” commented one fan.
“Smoking and singing while ashes fly everywhere. A true [explective] legend,” said another.
My favorite comment? “How can you not love this woman? Wish I had been that limo. Smoke & all.”
