The 2022 Oscar will forever be known as a night fans of the film will never forget. If you don't believe me, take one look at Twitter right now. In all my years of Oscars coverage, nothing could have prepared me for all the highs and lows of the evening.

However, right now, I want to talk about the most heartwarming duo of the night — Lady Gaga and Liza Minnelli.

Lady Gaga does not get enough credit for what an outstanding person she is.

You might like her music, or you might not, but there's no denying her heart is made of gold — and that's something everyone can get behind!

On Sunday night, Liza Minnelli was accompanied by Lady Gaga during the 94th Academy Awards. The duo took to the stage to present the final award of the night.

As People magazine reported, "Lady Gaga requested that Liza present the award with her."

As Liza hit the stage with Lady Gaga, the audience leaped to their feet.

"Do you see that? The public, they love you," Gaga told Liza, to which she replied: "I don't understand," while sorting through her notes.

Gaga gripped her arm and assured Liza that she's got her, to which Liza said: "I know."

"You know how I love working with legends," the 'House of Gucci' star said.

"And I'm honored to present the final award of the evening with a true show business legend."

Yeah, cue the punch to the gut (in the best possible way).

After the nominees for Best Picture were announced, Liza smiled to the camera and said:

"Hi everybody! I'm so happy to be here, especially with you. I'm your biggest fan."

Her smile alone was enough to melt everyone's hearts.

Viewers at home were touched by Gaga's patience and love for the 76-year-old.

Many people took to social media to praise the singer for her kindness, something we can all use a little more of these days!

As fans know, Lady Gaga has also worked closely with Tony Bennett and shown him equal amounts of assistance and respect.

"This is what the #Oscars should be about," tweeted one viewer. "Not tasteless jokes or embarrassing gimmicks to juice up ratings amongst people who weren’t going to care in the first place."

"Y’all can have it."

"Kudos to @ladygaga and Liza Minelli for trying to end the ceremony in a graceful note."

I know one thing is for sure, I was certainly tearing up when I was watching it.

Way to go, Liza and Gaga!

We can definitely all agree on one thing: no matter what happened at the Oscars, this was definitely one of the best, most heartwarming moments.

We truly love to see it.
