Last week, Chris Pratt and his new wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, were photographed on a beach in Santa Barbara, California.
While the newlyweds looked like they were having a great time, fans were more focused on Chris’ “dad bod”.
As I’m sure we all know by know, Chris Pratt is no longer a single man.
He tied and Katherine Schwarzenegger tied the knot back in June.
The newlyweds were spotted on the beach in Santa Barbara last week.
After spending the day in the sun, Chris posted a few side-by-side photos on Instagram, showing off his burns.
This is the most accurate comparison of any two things I’ve ever seen.
I’d like to state for the record that I’m pretty sure Katherine married Chris for his cheesy sense of humor.
Dad joke level: 100.
Anyway, while Chris may have been distracted by his sun burn, fans had their eyes on something else.
His so-called “dad bod” was stealing the show.
This isn’t the first time Chris has been called out for having a dad bod.
True Chris Pratt fans actually look forward to it happening. It’s very reminiscent of his character from Parks and Rec .
And it’s no secret that once the show ended, he went through a total body transformation.
I have a hunch that when Marvel offers you a movie deal and a lot of money, getting abs comes a little more naturally.
Crazy, right?
However, that being said, haters gon’ hate.
Some people harshly and unnecessarily criticized Chris for packing on a few pounds — even though, it’s really not that big of a deal.
This person implied that Chris should not be in charge of what he eats.
This is rude.
Especially considering we already know he’s going to snap back into shape for his next movie role.
This fan stated the obvious. Took the words right out of my mouth.
Let’s be honest. When people get into happy relationships, they tend to put on a couple of pounds.
It’s called relationship-gut and it can happen to anyone .
Furthermore, just because Chris is marginally less chiseled, doesn’t make him less handsome.
Let the man enjoy his life.

If you ask me, he still looks top notch.
He may have not surpassed the standards of the internet trolls, but he looks like he’s living his best life, so he probably doesn’t care.
And for the record, people’s opinions of “dad bods” are SUPER weird.
Remember when internet strangers were calling Jason Momoa out for his dad bod?
At least Jason accepted this title and used his “dad bod” for an amazing cause.
Oh, and getting that chiseled ab look 24/7 simply isn’t a sustainable lifestyle.
So it’s time to accept that maybe a “dad bod” is actually just a normal, healthy body?
Anyway, maybe Chris will see the humor in all this and decide to also put this new status to good use.
Or at the very least, find a way to turn this into another dad joke. Time will tell!
