The Duchess of Sussex has announced a new podcast series called Confessions of a Female Founder on her Instagram on Thursday 13 March.
The deal is with Lemonada Media and it comes after Spotify decided it won’t be renewing her previous podcast, Archetypes, for a second season, ending a $20 million deal.
Markle made the announcement on Instagram

Taking to her social media, the duchess announced the new podcast to the world with a promotional image of the series, writing, “I’m so excited to share with you something else I’ve been working on: ‘Confessions of a Female Founder,’ my new podcast with @lemonadamedia!”
“I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities, and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses,” she shared.
Markle reflected on the podcast
“They’re opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and tumbles), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As Ever,” she added.
“It has been absolutely eye-opening, inspiring … and fun! (Because what’s the point if we can’t have some fun on this wild adventure?).”
It comes out next month
The duchess confirmed that the first episode of Confessions of a Female Founder would be coming out on 8 April.
This comes after Spotify ended a previous deal with her
This podcast isn’t Markle’s first, as she had another one called Archetypes, which was hosted on Spotify. But in February 2024, the Swedish streaming service decided the podcast won’t be renewed for a second season, ending the 2 and a half year long $20 million deal.
Instead, Confessions of a Female Founder is in partnership with Lemonada Media, who will also be distributing Archetypes on all platforms.
Archetypes was also about empowering women

Similar to Confessions of a Female Founder, the 12-episode podcast Archetypes was also about empowering women as it explored the types of labels that tend to hold women back.
Archetypes premiered in August 2022 and featured star-studded guests like Paris Hilton, Serena Williams and Mariah Carey.
But the podcast received a bad rap
The Spotify-hosted podcast had received a bad rap after Podnews reported that, allegedly, the interviews weren’t actually conducted by Markle herself, but that they were done by members of her team who then edited in her voice asking the questions.
A Vanity Fair report also claimed that Markle was accused of bullying by some of her ex-colleagues at Spotify.
This isn’t the only project Markle has coming up

Along with Confessions of a Female Founder, the Duchess of Sussex has also just released an 8-episode lifestyle hosting series with Netflix called With Love, Meghan.
