Meghan Markle‘s new Netflix cookery show, With Love, Meghan, just dropped, and people are already talking. It’s a big deal for her, maybe even a make-or-break moment.
At the end of the series, Meghan makes what some see as a subtle dig at the Royal Family, saying her “new chapter” is “part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much.” She also talks about “healing” and fixing what’s “broken,” which some think is a reference to her past struggles in the UK.
The show comes at a crucial time, as she and Harry’s massive $100 million Netflix deal hangs in the balance.
And alongside it, Meghan is launching her new business, As Ever, which is already facing some controversy.
Meghan ends her show with a toast to new beginnings

At the end of the final episode, Meghan raises a glass to her guests, including Prince Harry and her mom, Doria Ragland.
She says: “I just want to raise a glass to you guys. This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I’m able to share and I’ve been able to learn from all of you. So I just thank you for all the love and support.”
Then she adds, “And here we go, there’s a business! All of that is part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much, so thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me.”
She hints at past struggles and healing from a broken past

Throughout the series, Meghan talks a lot about healing and self-growth, and some think she’s taking veiled shots at the Royal Family.
In episode seven, she chats with entrepreneur Vicky Tsai about Kintsugi, the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with gold.
She says: “If you break something that is precious and valuable, it’s not broken. That fracture actually makes it more beautiful… If you’ve been through something, you’re not broken. It can be fixed, it can be sealed and healed at the same time.”
The show was filmed in a rented mansion, not her home

Even though the show is meant to feel like a cozy, at-home experience, Meghan didn’t actually film it in her own house. Instead, she used a £5 million rented mansion.
The kitchen is top-tier, featuring a £20,000 setup, including pricey Le Creuset pots, £600 pans, and a £15,000 range cooker. It’s a picture-perfect setting for her cooking and lifestyle content.
Harry makes brief appearances, showing support for Meghan

Prince Harry isn’t in the show much, but he pops in here and there. In one scene, Meghan asks if he liked the party she put together, and he tells her, “Well done. You did a great job.” She thanks him, and he replies, “I love it.”
The numbered jam jars confused Meghan’s friends

One of the funnier moments in the show involves Meghan’s homemade jam. She gave jars to her celebrity friends, but the numbered labels caused a little drama.
Mindy Kaling jokes: “When I received that in the mail… I looked at the label, and it said something like 50. And then I, of course, as a very hierarchical person, was like, ‘Who are these other 50? Does having a lower number make me more special?’”
She shares her love for being a hands-on parent

Meghan shares how much she loves being present for her kids, calling it “a real delight and luxury.” In one scene, she makes a rainbow-themed fruit salad and says:
“It makes the morning a lot more fun. When you can take a minute to just… finding the fun in those moments makes for a really sweet start to the weekend.”
Netflix will decide if Meghan and Harry are worth the investment

Netflix is watching With Love, Meghan closely, and its success (or failure) could decide whether they renew Meghan and Harry’s $100 million contract.
Their documentary Harry & Meghan was a hit, but their other projects, like Live to Lead and Heart of Invictus, didn’t do as well.
Some insiders say Netflix isn’t too happy with them, with one source calling their partnership “a nightmare.”
Meghan’s new business has already run into trouble

Meghan is also launching As Ever, her new lifestyle brand selling jams, teas, home goods, and pet products. But the brand is already stirring up drama.
A small town in Spain accused Meghan of copying their centuries-old coat of arms for her logo.
And to make things messier, As Ever is already the name of a vintage clothing business in New York, leading to more controversy.
Meghan’s surprise appearance left fans in shock

Meghan made an unexpected appearance at a screening of her show in New York’s Ludlow House.
Some of her longtime fans were there — people who have followed her since her Tig blog days — and even had As Ever tattoos.
Her arrival caught them completely off guard!
Can Meghan’s brand survive in Netflix House stores?

Netflix is opening brick-and-mortar stores called Netflix House, where they’ll sell products tied to their biggest shows.
Meghan’s As Ever items, including her jam, will be stocked there. But insiders say this is a huge test for her brand.
One source puts it bluntly: “This will determine the future for Meghan as a businesswoman. Let’s face it, she hasn’t been that successful so far.”
With her show streaming and As Ever hitting the market, Meghan’s next chapter is officially in motion.
