Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, Ojani Noa, has gone on an frustrated rant on Instagram after the singer said in a recent interview that she’s never ‘truly been loved’ before.
They were married for less than a year
Lopez, 56, and Noa, 51, were married for less than a year between 1997 and 1998.
Noa recently took to his Instagram in response to Lopez’s statements on her past relationships made on Wednesday, October 15.
She said she’s never ‘truly been loved’
Appearing on the Howard Stern Show last week, Lopez was asked, “Do you think you’ve truly been loved?”
She paused and then responded, “No,” before adding that she herself has truly loved someone else. She said, “What I learned, it’s not that I’m not lovable — it’s that they’re not capable. … They don’t have it in them.”
Lopez said her partners ‘gave what they had’
Lopez went on, “And they gave me what they had. They gave me all of it, every time. All the rings, all the things I could ever want. The houses, the rings, the marriage. All of it. But….”
Noa clearly wasn’t on board with her sentiment, having posted on Instagram on Saturday, October 18, directly referencing her interview.
He wrote a long message in response
“Stop putting us down. Stop putting me down with your victim card.” Noa wrote. “The problem is not us. Not me. The problem is you. You’re the one who couldn’t keep it in your pants.”
“You have been ‘loved’ a few times,” he went on. “You have been married 4 times. And have had countless relationships in between. You’ve had good relationships… Me for example.”
He insisted he was in love with her
Noa went on to insist that he ‘was in love’ with Lopez, claiming that he ‘moved out of state to support, protect and care for you’.
“I’m an amazing, loving person, great human being. Honest, faithful to you, never lied, never miss behave, never cheated on you.”
Noa accused her of cheating
“I was good to you. I’m too good of a [man] for you,” Noa went on. “But you. You chose fame and fortune moving apart of our relationship.”
He added of Lopez, “You decided to lie, to cheat on me and even though I stayed. I even tried to keep the marriage going and alive. You begged me to keep the marriage intact to avoid bad press caring more about you.”
He also accused her of neglecting him
Noa went on to also accuse Lopez of choosing ‘the fast lane’ of her career instead of giving their relationship adequate attention.
“You wanted to continue cheating and lying. I couldn’t stay anymore and deal with the constantly lying,” he wrote.
Noa ended his note saying Lopez hasn’t told the truth
“That’s why I left you. That’s why I divorced you,” Noa went on.
