There was definitely some confusion over this year’s Met Gala camp theme. No, not camping like with the great outdoors and tents. Camp , as in, over-the-top and basically being extra for the sake of being extra.
Camp fashion has always been hard to define and some celebrities struggled with the theme more than others.
However, even if they didn’t quite get what camp fashion was, there were some stars who shone on the pink carpet anyways.
Céline Dion showed up to the Met Gala lookingly like the sparkly dramatic queen we’ve always known and loved.

This woman did have a long-running residency in Vegas and I’m definitely getting some Vegas show vibes from this over-the-top look.
Now, it’s clear that Céline nailed this year’s camp theme, but oddly enough, she says she didn’t understand it.
According to Céline, she confused “camp” with “camping”.
“I thought it meant ‘camping,’” she said. “We’re going to be at the Met and everyone is going to stay and sleep all night together. But no,” she said to E! News.
Camp fashion is hard to define, but is generally considered extravagant and exaggerated.
Even if Céline didn’t understand this definition, she still nailed the theme, mostly because of her one-of-a-kind headpiece.
Céline’s custom gown was created by Oscar de la Renta.
The dress actually weighed 22 pounds, but you would have never have guessed sine Céline was twirling in it and posing like the queen she is.
So there you have it, folks.
Sometimes, even if you don’t totally get the Met Gala’s theme, you can still nail it and walk away with one of the best looks of the night.
