Lisa Marie Presley , 54, died after a second cardiac arrest at the hospital. According to reports, because she had already been pronounced brain dead shortly after being admitted, the family signed a DNR – a Do-Not-Resuscitate order, if she flatlined again, which happened soon after.
Ex-Husband Gave Him CPR
Presley was found unconscious by her housekeeper on Thursday morning in her Calabasas home. Ex-husband Danny Keough had just returned home from taking their kids to school. He was able to perform CPR until the paramedics arrived.

She was given at least one shot of epinephrine and her pulse was restored before she was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Doctors placed her on life support in a medically-induced coma, and also gave her a temporary pacemaker in an attempt to keep her heart stable.

She was already pronounced brain dead shortly after she was admitted to the hospital. Because of this, Presley’s family had signed a do-not-resuscitate order. Presley then suffered another cardiac arrest, which resulted in her death.
She Had Complained Of Stomach Pains
Reports say Presley had been complaining of stomach pains, which grew more and more intense. There were reportedly no drugs on the scene at the time of her medical emergency.
“We arrived on scene at 10:43 a.m. One person was transported at 11:17 a.m. The patient was a female age 55,” a representative for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said .
Looking Unsteady On The Red Carpet
Two days before her untimely death, Presley was still able to attend the 2023 Golden Globes. She looked a little frail and even had times when she appeared to be dizzy. During an interview on the red carpet, Presley had to hold on to her talent manager Jerry Schilling to steady herself.
“I’m gonna grab your arm,” she said in the middle of the interview.
A Heartwarming Moment
Presley had a genuine moment of love at the event when Austin Butler thanked her and the family in his winning speech. Along with her mom, Priscilla, Lisa Marie was teary-eyed as she held her heart for a second.
“I also want to thank our incredible producers and Warner Brothers and the Presley family. Thank you guys. Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever,” Butler said.
The Presley Family’s Statement
“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie,” a representative told CNN . “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
