Prompted by a question from one of her Instagram Story watchers, Kelly Rizzo revealed how she’s gotten along with Bob Saget’s daughters in the wake of her late husband’s passing.
Saget’s death on January 9 came as a shock to his fans and family alike and it was even more tragically eerie to hear that a mysterious head trauma was responsible for his fate.
But as sudden and devastating as this loss was, we’ve since seen his loved ones try and pick up the pieces while honoring the man’s memory whenever they can. And the results have often been a bittersweet look into the beloved comedy legend’s final, happy moments.
For this reason, it seems that people have started to wonder whether his surviving family members have come together and bonded over the trauma of losing Saget.
Well, Rizzo recently gave them their answer and it sounds like exactly what they hoped to hear.
On June 13, Saget’s widow Kelly Rizzo accepted an Impact Award for him at the Fourth Annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards in Los Angeles.
And as People reported, she mentioned his other surviving relatives in her acceptance speech.
As she said, “Bob’s incredible daughters and I are so honored to be able to accept this on Bob’s behalf. And this is very bittersweet, because this is just still… It’s so surreal.”
And whether it was that statement that made them curious or just idle wondering, it seems that one of Rizzo’s Instagram followers had a question for her.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Rizzo addressed their query as to whether she gets along with “Bob’s girls” and whether they still talk in a story.
This person also mentioned that Saget was the best, and Rizzo quickly agreed before answering them.
And in case anyone was worried, it seems that Rizzo gets along famously with his daughters Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer.
Rizzo mentioned holding them in a tight embrace in a post honoring his 66th birthday, and it seems like they’ve stayed just as close since then.
As Rizzo put it, “I’d call it more than getting along, we love each other very, very much and talk or text every day.”

And while it’s true that they’re leaning on each other for an unfortunate reason, Rizzo found it hard not to feel lucky for what they have together.
In her words, “We’re just so, so grateful to be as close as we are because that’s not always the case with step-families.”
