For many people, the Scooby Doo movies and TV shows have been a staple in our childhoods.
In 2020, the gang is coming together again, with some pretty major names attached!
Who else remembers the first live-action “Scooby-Doo” that came out in 2002?
It starred big names at the time, including Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini.
We also got a sequel in 2004.
There were actually plans for a third live-action Scooby-Doo , but they were scrapped after the sequel flopped with audiences.
Over a decade later, we’re about to see “Scooby-Doo” hit the big screen yet again!
The animated film has been in the works since 2013, hitting a few bumps and delays on the way, but things are finally starting to shape up!
It was just announced that Zac Efron And Amanda Seyfried are joining the project.
They’ll be voicing the #CoupleGoals duo, Fred And Daphne, Deadline reports.
They’re not the only big names attached to this movie either.
SNL cast member and The Last Man on Earth actor , Will Forte, is set to play Shaggy.
“Jane the Virgin” actress, Gina Rodriguez, is going to be playing Velma.
Tracy Morgan will be Captain Caveman, and Frank Welker will be reprising his role of Scooby.
Fun fact: he’s been the voice-over for Scoob in the 1969-1970 series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
Word is that Dax Shepard will be co-directing and co-writing the film.
And it’s set for a May 2020 release!
Tbh it seems like a long time to wait, but it’ll be here before we know it!

Animated movies are only getting better and better, and we’re sure that we can expect a bit of adult humor thrown in from time to time, so we’re definitely looking forward to this one!
