For valid reasons, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged crimes have become a big sensation on social media. Conspiracy theories surround the case regarding which celebrities were involved in Diddy’s “freak-offs,” and Will Smith was rumored to be one of them.
During a San Diego concert, the Fresh Prince took the time to address and distance himself from these chaotic allegations.
Will Smith is not involved, he says

During his performance at The Observatory North Park on December 12, Smith took the time between songs to explain his position in the Diddy allegations, telling the crowd via TMZ: “The world we’re in right now, it’s really hard for y’all to discern what’s real and what’s true.”
He sees the memes

Smith continued to the crowd, saying: “I been seein’ y’all memes and stuff. I see the memes. Some of that stuff is funny.” But he went to firmly address the allegations, saying: “I just wanna say this very clearly: I don’t have s— to do with Puffy. So you all can stop all them memes.”
He’s got a lot on his plate already

Smith emphasized that he has never been affiliated with Puffy (one of Diddy’s nicknames) and has never been to any of his “freak offs,” referring to the problematic parties Diddy used to host.
He explained that he’s got his own dramas already and doesn’t have time to be involved in others’ dramas.
Sprinkling some humor

Jaden and Willow’s father also took the time to hilariously joke about the curious case of the 1,000 bottles of baby oil that were confiscated from Diddy’s home, according to an unsealed federal indictment, saying: “I don’t even like baby oil.”
Why Smith addressed the issue

The Oscar winner admitted, “Y’all memes was doing too much,” to the point he had to publicly address the issue.
Additionally, his statement comes after Jay-Z—real name Shawn Carter— was accused and named in a refiled sexual assault civil suit on December 8.
The extent of their relationship

It is as clear as day that both Smith and Diddy are no strangers to one another. However, according to Smith, the extent of their relationship doesn’t go beyond chatting and laughter. He also clarified that he has never been affiliated with Diddy’s parties.
What happened with Jay-Z

Jay-Z was accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, who kept her identity anonymous, alongside Diddy in 2000.
The 55-year-old rushed to deny the claims, telling E! News: “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!”
Jay-Z didn’t take it silently

Jay-Z filed a motion on December 9 requesting that the accuser reveal her real identity rather than filing anonymously as “Jane Doe.”
He also added to E! News: “Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
Jay-Z’s attorney may dismiss the lawsuit

An NBC report revealed that Jay-Z’s attorney was looking to dismiss the lawsuit after “Jane Doe,” cited in it, had several inconsistencies in her allegations.
“Today’s investigative report proves this ‘attorney’ [Tony] Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame,” Jay-Z revealed.
Diddy’s current status

Diddy pleaded not guilty to federal charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
As of this moment, the music mogul is being held at Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, having been denied bail more than once.
