You know why I love Reddit? The drama, mama! Nothing beats logging on and reading the absolute weirdest, wildest, and wackiest stories about other people’s lives. This one might just take the cake for today, though.
One Redditor took to r/relationship_advice with a problem
Redditor u/just-at-me-next-time came to the subReddit with a disturbing story after snooping through her husband of six months’ phone.
“I was decluttering his gallery and this is something he knows i do from time to time because his gallery is full of useless pictures he doesn’t need anymore so i do it to save space. We both have full access to each other’s phones.”
Sounds pretty normal so far…
The 22 year-old woman said she accidentally deleted something she didn’t mean to, so she went to the trash to get it back.
“I’m so shaken idk how to write this. My fingers are trembling…
There were two nudes of two of my friends that were AI GENERATED.”
Oh H**L no.
This is one of the many reasons I absolutely hate AI — it’s just one more way to erase our privacy. The user said: “Meaning he probably uploaded their photo in some website that undresses you???? WHY IS THERE EVEN A WEBSITE THAT DOES THAT.”
I think we all know why, and it is gross! People who do that are gross!
Needless to say, she was shocked
“My blood went cold. I was stuttering and couldn’t breathe and my heart is palpitating.
I REALLY REALLY LOVED HIM AND I SAW NO SIGNS. Idk what to do.”
Before you think she’s overreacting (which she absolutely isn’t), keep in mind that this is not only a huge breach of her privacy and trust, but her image is now going to be used to train that site’s AI. It’s there forever now.
The update was somehow crazier than the original post
After commenters were outraged on her behalf, she decided to confront her 25-year-old husband about it.
“The audacity he had, you guys,” she shared.
She clarified that the clinginess commenters were picking up on was mutual
“Firstly, to those of you saying we have no boundaries, yes we’re clingy. No he’s never once said he has a problem with me going through his phone. This is NORMAL for us. I wasn’t even decluttering bc i was suspicious and wanted to find sth,” she wrote.
My partner and I have open phones. It’s very normal, in my opinion. Then again, I never think my partner is hiding something — we have access to each other to send each other the selfies we take together, type something for the other one if they’re driving, or be the car DJ.
Anyway…
“He revealed to me he has a p**n addiction ALL THIS TIME. and he watches p**n specifically when we’ve had a fight and he’s mad at me, so he does it to privately spite me. He said it’s MY fault for making him mad and fighting with him,” she said.
This man is the WORST.
He also says what he did isn’t cheating
“So anyway he tried very hard to explain this doesn’t count as cheating, even though he said that if i did it, he wouldn’t have forgiven me. EVEN THOUGH he’s been such a loudmouth about how cheating is the worst, trust is all that’s important, cheaters deserve the worst blah blah.”
Okay, if you don’t consider it cheating, fine — but does this guy know what he did was unbelievably creepy?
He said he assumed she did it, too
She continued: “He also assumed that i fantasize about other guys too which FYI i absolutely do not and never did since we were together. He’s ALL i cared about and wanted. He told me he regrets marrying me and wonders what it would’ve been like marrying my friends. Hah my whole entire life was built around this man.”
He regrets marrying her? Divorce this man and take everything you can because this guy s***s.
He also admitted the images were AI
Now why a man would AI generate naked images of his own wife when he could just go look at his own naked wife is beyond me.
She finished the post by saying: “I never thought something like this would ever happen to me…but here we are. The guys saying this is normal, i wish your wives found out.”
Men: do not do this if you enjoy being in a relationship or being seen as a sane person. Cheers!
