Another day, another strange situation over at the Wheel of Fortune .
I get it — it’s March and it’s almost spring, and everyone is preoccupied with getting their proper levels of vitamin D after being denied it for several months, but it’s during these trying times that we should all be extra kind to one another, right?
Well, it’s clear Pat Sajak didn’t get the memo after he completely roasted a Wheel of Fortune contestant on a recent episode.
Watching “Wheel of Fortune” these days is like watching a reality TV show — you never know when the drama is going to ensue!

However, our good ol’ friend Twitter isn’t going to let anything slide, and will let us know when Pat Sajak has done something to make us cringe.
During a recent episode of the popular game show, Pat insulted a contestant after he shared a meaningful story from his childhood.
While chatting with contestant Scott Ingwersen during the player interviews, he mentioned he had a story to share.
“Why am I mentioning this?” Pat asked. “It’s on your card. You had your big toe chopped off. Why are you telling this?”
“It’s important to know that when I was 12 years old, I was riding a 10-speed bike with flip-flops, and I fell and completely cut off the top of my toe,” Scott replied.
“The next car that came by were two paramedics that were on their way to their job, and they said, ‘It’s just a laceration.’ But I didn’t know what that was, so it freaked me out even more. And my toe is reattached, and I just wanna say thank you to them 30 years later,” he added.
Pat looked blankly at Scott before replying: “That may have been the most pointless story ever told. And you told it, Scott. Congratulations to you.”
Now, as you can imagine, Twitter had a big issue with Pat’s response and many viewers took to Twitter to call it out.
Thankfully, Scott won $5,700 in prizes and seemingly didn’t take the comments to heart.
The rest of social media, however, cannot say the same.
“Be careful Pat, people are starting to notice you and your bad habit,” tweeted one viewer.
“The wheels might be starting to come off. At your age, it won’t be hard to get you fired. People might stop watching the show, even with it’s popularity. Nothing lasts forever in this world,” they added.
It’s clear many people aren’t happy with how Pat handled that situation, but I just hope Scott is okay!
