Nearly two years after the controversial firing of Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron , it is being rumored that current host Tyra Banks has also been cut after two seasons. This news comes just one week after it was announced the beloved dancing competition show would be moved from ABC to Disney+ after 30 seasons on cable TV.
It’s clear the team behind DWTS is cooking up something new.
“The Sun” is reporting that supermodel and host Tyra Banks will no longer be the host of “Dancing with the Stars” after a rocky two seasons.
Fans of the show were devastated to learn of Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews firing back in 2020.
“There is no official decision on who will be hosting next season, but it doesn’t look like Tyra will be back,” a source told the British tabloid.
This “would be a network decision, not her decision,” they added, which makes a lot of sense.
“I wouldn’t say it’s Tyra’s fault the show got dropped by the network. I mean, that certainly didn’t help, but she came in and did the job she was hired to do,” they continued.

“The problem is, she just didn’t fit in. She didn’t fit in with producers, and she didn’t fit with the audience, and it showed.”
As for what the future of the show holds, it seems to be up in the air.
“The mix of the behind-the-scenes chaos and the historically low ratings ultimately was the nail in the coffin,” the source explained. “ABC didn’t feel it was worth the investment anymore but didn’t want to drop it as a whole.”
Well, as a fan of the show I’m happy they didn’t drop it completely!
