Oh to be a royal family member, where downsizing means moving into a home that has only four (gasp!) bedrooms. Look, I understand they are not a normal family — they’re royals, of course — but it does make me chuckle when people act surprised that they’re so disconnected from the rest of us.
Now, upon reports that the Cambridges have moved into a home too small to accommodate their longtime live-in nanny, Twitter is having a field day.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will be downsizing their home.
The family of five will be moving into a “modest four-bedroom cottage in Berkshire” as per Sky News.
Unfortunately for the family’s long-time live-in nanny, there is not enough room.
As fans of the Royals know, Nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrall has been with the family for nearly a decade.

This will be a significant change for the Cambridges’ three children — Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, who are used to being with Maria all day, every day.
It is being reported that despite not living with the family, Maria will still continue her duty as a full-time nanny to the Cambridge children.

The family’s other live-in staff (a housekeeper and a chef) will also reportedly move to accommodations nearby, but will still continue their full-time duties.
Of course, news like this always gets a reaction from Twitter users who couldn’t help but comment on these downsizing reports.
“ooo, just like us plebs! except, not, joked one Twitter user.
“Oh cry me a river,” said another.
“What garbage as if they’d move in to a small house,” agreed a different user.
However, some users weren’t so quick to judge.
As stated in the reports, Prince William and Kate Middleton do try to be as involved in their children’s lives as possible, so surely this will bring the family even closer together!
