“We actually recorded ‘Superstars’ at Energy Studios,” Sandoval told Page Six. “The No Doubt ‘Tragic Kingdom’ album was made there, Linkin’ Park’s ‘Hybrid Theory,’ all these amazing works. It was incredible.”

Despite previous insecurities, Sandoval is now inspired to release more original singles —especially after working with producer Stavros and songwriter Matt Hartke.

“When you have a song that you’ve known and grown up with, it just seems right,” he explained, noting The Most Extras’ penchant for performing classics from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000s.

“That’s the right way to do that song. But when you’re writing stuff yourself, it can be very confusing: Is this right? Is this the right way to do this? We should change this,” the musician disclosed.
