What’s the most awkward situation you’ve ever been in during dinner? Maybe you’ve run into your ex . Maybe your dining companion made a scene .
But we’re willing to bet that none of these scenarios even comes close, in terms of awkwardness at least, as running into your dad and his new girlfriend…while you’re eating dinner with your mom / dad’s ex.

Yeah, this really went down — and it was captured on TikTok in all its squirm-inducing, awkward glory.
It happened at a Logan’s Roadhouse.
You may know Logan’s for its tagline of “Steaks. Ribs. Spirits.” You can get all three of those things at Logan’s, but judging from this recent video, you can add a large side order of cringe to the menu.
The video begins by showing a TikToker’s mom browsing the menu.
The video was posted by Lori, who you can find under @_eria0 on TikTok . It’s only six seconds long, but it certainly tells a story. The caption explains that Lori and her mom went out for dinner and saw Lori’s dad with his side piece.
How does one handle this situation?
We’re missing a ton of context here. The situation could unfold very differently based on whether this went down after an amicable divorce, or if mom and dad are still married. In any case, the video continues.
The camera tilts up.
We can assume, based on the camera tilt and zoom, that the second part of the video shows Lori’s dad eating dinner with his side piece. If you’re expecting something else to happen, the video ends abruptly right here.
It feels a little bit uncomfortable.
Aside from the caption and a few cryptic remarks from Lori in the comments, we don’t have much to go on. One important piece of evidence, though, is the fact that the video caption features the #Cheater hashtag. From this, we can infer that Lori’s dad is either actively cheating, or cheated in the past.
We want answers.
The video has been viewed nearly half a million times so far, but at this time, we don’t have any extra details. Drama-hungry commenters flocked to the post to ask Lori what’s going on, but she hasn’t said much.
How would you handle this?
Some commented with their suspicions, others advanced plausible theories for why the tone of the video is so calm. Others, like me, commented solely so TikTok would lead them back to Lori’s account in case she posts an update.
It could have gone worse.
Again, this video could certainly tell us a lot more. But it’s still an interesting (six-second) glimpse into someone else’s life. Regardless of the specific circumstances, it’s hard to imagine this scene not being awkward for all involved.
