Tim Allen will be returning as Santa Claus for the Disney+ show, The Santa Clauses . I had the opportunity to attend his panel at the D23 event in Anaheim, California, so I got the inside scoop of what the show will really be about (far beyond the trailer).
This movie will take a deep dive in what it means to be Santa, where he really came from, and…the fact that he wants to retire!

Tim Allen assured the crowd at D23 that this show will be just as fun, feel-good, and funny as the movies . But more than that, this movie will explore Santa in a whole new way. It will answer questions that we all have about Santa.
Questions such as: why were none of the elves sad about the previous Santa who suddenly died?
Why doesn’t Mrs. Claus have a first name? Where did the very first Santa actually come from? And so much more!
The Santa Clauses premieres Nov. 16 on Disney+.
