Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently surprised his mom with the house of her dreams in an emotional Instagram video that has us wondering when OUR kids are going to be stepping up for us the way he did for her! Er, but hopefully our parents don’t get any ideas.
Of course, we all already knew The Rock was a nice guy — he wasn’t voted the most likable person in the world for nothing after all — and that he absolutely adores his mom , but the latest videos shared to the star’s Instagram page takes it all to new levels.
The Rock revealed in a series of Instagram posts he had bought his mom a house.
“When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy,” he captioned the post . “I surprised my mom and bought her a new home. Took me and my design team 8 weeks to get it ready, where she could walk thru her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise.”
Dwayne’s emotional message continued.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, “After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That’s my dream.'”
The Rock did everything in his power to make that the case.

He also showed off his mom’s new “Smackdown Room.”
“In her homes she always has her “Smackdown Room” where she keeps the coolest Rock/DJ memorabilia,” he explained . “This is her favorite room to bring guests to and it’s my least favorite,” because the last thing I want to do is stand in a DJ Shrine while people look around as my mom takes them thru at all the stuff I’ve done. No thanks! But, truth is, when I’m BY MYSELF , these Smackdown rooms she creates have such positive energy and beautiful mana. Always a good reminder for me to never forget where I came and always be grateful for grind.”
“Welcome home mom,” he wrote.
If you’re like me and believe that one of the best way to judge someone is by how they treat their mom, then you already know what I’m going to say — The Rock is definitely one of the good ones! Maybe even one of the best.
