After the Cannes Film Festival, photos of Selena Gomez and her The Dead Don’t Die co-star Bill Murray, flirting up a storm surfaced and the internet is having a meltdown.
If you didn’t know, songtress Selena Gomez is starring next to Hollywood elite in the film “The Dead Don’t Die.”
She plays a woman named Zoe in the upcoming comedy horror film.

The film also features popular names, such as Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, and many others.
This is huge for Selena and is definitely a major step up from Spring Breakers .
The cast headed to France to open the Cannes Film Festival and they all looked stunning on the red carpet.
That’s one fine lookin’ cast if I do say so myself!
Selena Gomez walked the red carpet, making her Cannes Film Festival debut, serving looks.
She showed up to her first-ever red carpet in this silky Louis Vuitton two-piece number that makes me want to take out 10 loans to snatch the same one.
As amazing as she looked, that isn’t what caused the internet to fall into a frenzy.
There was a certain cast member that she appeared to be getting a little cozy with on the red carpet.
Amongst the countless photos taken of Selena, we couldn’t help but notice a few in particular.
A few of her and Bill Murray getting a lot closer than many of us were comfortable with.
I know you’re probably thinking that there’s no way Selena Gomez and Bill Murray are dating.
And maybe that’s true. But Selena does have a track record of dating talented men in the entertainment industry.
Justin Bieber springs to mind.
The two had a fiery, angsty, passionate, on-again-off-again relationship that lasted nine years.
Eventually, they ended things for good, and Justin married his now-wife, Hailey Baldwin.
During one of Selena and Justin’s we’re-on-a-break moments, Selena briefly dated Zedd.
Diplo speculated that their relationship was a publicity stunt, but Selena confirmed that the relationship was legitimate.
“I adore Anton [Zedd] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice,” she told a New England radio show .
She also briefly dated actor, Taylor Lautner.
Sadly, their flame was short-lived.
“We would go out to lunch and dinner, but I knew he had paparazzi following him and I had paparazzi following me . . . People were getting a little crazy about us,” Selena told Seventeen Magazine .
Although things didn’t work out between her and Taylor, she still thinks very fondly of him.
“He is so sweet. Taylor has made me so happy. I didn’t know I could be that happy,” she said .
And of course, how can we forget, The Weeknd.
In April 2017 the pair made things Instagram official — after they were caught on camera playing tonsil hockey in LA just a couple months prior.
He bought her a puppy, they went to the Met Gala together — and then sadly called it quite 10 months later.
I digress. Selena is single and ready to mingle. And she was most definitely mingling with Bill Murray at the Cannes Film Festival.
Fans don’t even know what to make of this.
Photos of Bill sensually whispering something in Selena’s ear on the red carpet have gone viral.
And we all can’t help but wonder, what was he saying in her ear?
What is the real relationship dynamic between these two?
Instead of quickly shutting the rumors down for good by denying having a more-than-platonic relationship with Bill Murray, Selena basically did the opposite.
Shortly after the photos of her and Bill went viral, causing world-wide-web confusion, Selena took to Instagram.
She posted a few shots of herself on the red carpet, one of which featured Bill Murray.
Rather than fighting the rumors, Selena decided to take a different approach and steer into the skid with a cheeky caption.
“By the way, Bill Murray and I are getting married,” she wrote.
And what’s Bill’s take on all this, you may be wondering?
He claims not to remember exactly what he was whispering into Selena’s ear on the red carpet — how convenient .
“I was trying to keep her at ease,” he recalled.
He then went on to say how surprised he is that he likes her — explaining that he’s always happy to find a pop icon that he gets along well with.
“I really like [her]. She’s unusually bright. She’s kind and she’s natural. I’m always pleased to find some kind of pop icon who I really like,” he said.
Ok, so there’s a pretty good chance they aren’t actually dating, and they’ve just become good friends.
But the internet isn’t giving up on the idea just yet…
