Don’t you just love when movies that nobody asked for are released?
Dora The Exploer is getting a live-action remake, and while we’ll definitely give it a chance, the posters are not giving us much hope.
Is it just me, or is everything getting a live-action remake these days?
I mean, in the coming months we’re getting Aladdin , The Lion King and Dumbo remakes.
I guess Nickelodeon also wanted in on the live-action fun.
They have a pretty large collection of animated shows they could have picked from.
Back in October of 2017, they announced that “Dora The Explorer” would be getting its own live-action remake.

Better than SpongeBob I guess.
We do not need to be bringing sponges to life, thank you very much.
The film is being called “Dora and the Lost City of Gold”.
And unlike the show, Dora is going to be a teenager. Her cousin, Diego, will also be featured in the movie.
The film will star Isabela Moner as Dora, and Jeffrey Wahlberg as Diego.
We finally got our first glimpse at the movie posters, and it’s something alright.

We see a glimpse of Dora, Boots, Backpack, and the Map.
So far there’s no sign of Swiper.
People were quick to notice that Boots isn’t wearing boots, and it’s a bit of an issue.

I mean, if you’re going to do it, you might as well do it right .
Is it just me, or are the posters are giving off some strong “Road To El Dorado” vibes?

People aren’t really loving it, to be honest.
Mark your calendars: the movie opens August 2nd.
Are you going to take your kids to see it?
Or let’s be honest, are you going to sneak to the theatres and watch it as a fully-grown adult?
