Sydney Sweeney gave off Greek goddess vibes in a metallic breastplate at GQ ‘s Men of the Year Awards in London on November 16.
Honored at the star-studded event alongside Andrew Garfield, Zoë Kravitz, House of the Dragon ‘s Emma D’Arcy, rappers Stormzy and Jack Harlow, and Heartstopper ‘s Kit Conner and Joe Locke, among many others, the 25-year-old made a show-stopping appearance on the red carpet in a black cut-out gown that included a shiny silver bra.

The actress, who this year scored two Emmy nominations for her roles in The White Lotus and Euphoria series, thanked British GQ for the “wonderful night” on Instagram : “It was a pinch-me moment to be recognized among such a talented group.”

Charging Into Battle With Her Red-Carpet Look
Turning heads at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel in a mermaid-style gown with a high back slit and a train trailing behind her, Sydney had everyone talking about the bold look. Pulled from LaQuan Smith’s Spring-Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection, the one-sleeve dress was missing its entire midsection, which was replaced by a highly reflective breastplate with a chrome finish.
Perfectly framed in between a turtleneck top and a curve-hugging maxi skirt, the item was complete with metallic nipples for a saucy twist. It bared her deep cleavage and flashed her toned midriff, with the gown’s tight fit perfectly flaunting her figure.

A Mesmerizing Close-Up
The Voyeurs star played up the eye-popping silver accessory with an assortment of matching earrings. She rocked a studded piece in one ear and a collection of hoops running up the helix in the other.
On her feet, Sydney wore pointy-end stilettos in black. Her makeup was perfectly coordinated with her attire and consisted of metallic silver and black eyeliner offset by nude lipstick. She added extra sparkle with a couple of rings on her fingers and made Page Six ‘s best-dressed list at the event.
The actress showed off her glam in a close-up taken in the car on her way over to the MOTY 2022. “Hi london,” she captioned that shot that also showed her messy high bun with loose tendrils framing her face.

Her ‘GQ’ Cover Shoot
Sydney’s jaw-dropping red-carpet appearance comes after an equally impressive cover shoot for the magazine. One of the four British GQ MOTY cover stars (together with footballer Leah Williamson, rapper Jack Harlow, and Heartstopper stars Joe Locke and Kit Connor, who both shared a cover), the gorgeous blonde stunned in a red Versace corset dress on her cover photo. Demonstrating balletic flexibility, she balanced herself on one knee atop a motorcycle and hiked up a perfectly stretched leg to show off her textured Thom Solo thigh-high stiletto boots.

Opening Up About Her Body Image
Elsewhere in the magazine pages, The Handmaid’s Tale alum, who has her own production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, looked every inch the red-carpet diva in a glossy white GCDS coat dress paired with purple gold-heel Louboutins and Chopard earrings. Lying flat on her back on a red backdrop, she showed off her chiseled legs in the off-the-shoulder number that was split in the front and cinched with a massive bow.
Oher designer looks from the shoot included a form-fitting Moschino red gown with gold-chain shoulder straps, a black Prada mini skirt with a long, see-through gold underlay, and a glittery blue Off-White dress with voluminous sleeves and a massive train.
In her cover interview , Sydney opened up about her body image and how it influenced her personality: “I had boobs before other girls and I felt ostracised for it. So I did play every sport and I studied really hard and I did everything that people wouldn’t think I would do, to show them that my body doesn’t define who I am.”
