His sad death was confirmed by his wife Alison Holker Boss in a statement to PEOPLE . She described him as a star who lit up every room he entered, and “valued his family. friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him.”

Boss’s Rise To Fame
The late DJ gained popularity as a contestant on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project before proceeding to become a runner-up on Star Search . He also competed on So You Think You Can Dance back in 2008 ending as a runner-up on season 4 and later returning as an All-Star and then a judge in the 2022 edition.
Joining ‘Ellen DeGeneres’
Boss joined The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a guest DJ in 2014 and worked his way into becoming a permanent entity on the show. Soon, he became a co-executive producer on the show in 2020.
Hosting Shows And Showing Up
Boss also tried his hands at hosting duties as he previously co-hosted Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings with his wife. He also appeared in shows like Magic Mike XXL, Modern Family, and Step Up All In .
A Fun Dad
He often posted dance videos with his wife and kids offscreen on his social media accounts. Allison also competed in So You Think You Can Dance .
