What do your fave 80’s celebs look like now?
For some celebrities, it looks like they’ve barely changed at all — I mean, how different does Jamie Lee Curtis really look?
But for others, some drastic changes may cause you to do a double-take.
Claudia Wells

Repeat Back to the Future watchers will recognize Claudia Wells, aka the actress who originated the role of Jennifer Parker.
Family issues saw her leave the film series, and Elisabeth Shue finished taking over the role.
Justine Bateman

Justine Bateman became something of a teen star when she landed her breakout role as Mallory in Family Ties.
Now, she’s behind the camera. She wrote and directed Five Minutes, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Val Kilmer

’80s heartthrob Val Kilmer stole hearts everywhere in Top Gun and Real Genius.
He’s changed a lot, and it’s for a very sad reason: he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2015. Thankfully, he has since gone into remission.
Olivia Newton-John

Olivia Newton-John became a mega-star in the late ’70s after her role in Grease and pivoted that success into a string of successes in the ’80s.
A cancer diagnosis is responsible for the change in her appearance. She was previously diagnosed in 1992 and 2013 and went into remission.
Bo Derek

Bo Derek was a classic staple of ’80s stardom. Her cornrow braids (yikes) immediately made her iconic when she starred alongside Julie Andrews and Dudley Moore in 10.
She is now considered semi-retired.
Lisa Bonet

Lisa Bonet rose to fame on The Cosby Show as Denise Huxtable.
Since then, she’s married and divorced Lenny Kravitz, given birth to Zoë Kravitz, married Jason Momoa, and had a recurring role on Ray Donovan.
Jennifer Grey

Jennifer Grey became an ’80s icon, thanks to films like Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
These days, she looks a little different — and that’s probably down to the nose job she got.
Soleil Moon Frye

Yup, that’s really Punky Brewster!
Soleil found fame as a children’s icon in Punky Brewster in the ’80s.
After that, she branched out, taking on directing and screenwriting. These days, she is starring in the reboot show of Punky Brewster!
Ally Sheedy

Ally Sheedy experienced major fame in the 1980s, thanks to roles in St Elmo’s Fire and The Breakfast Club.
These days, she mostly does guest work and cameos.
Sean Young

Sean Young defined sci-fi in the ’80s when she stepped into the role of the replicant Rachael in Blade Runner.
She reprised the role of Rachael in Blade Runner 2049, where she played a de-aged version of herself.
Kelly McGillis

Kelly McGillis hit a new level of fame when her role in Witness netted her a Golden Globe nomination. Her role in Top Gun confirmed her ’80s star status for good.
Catherine Bach

Catherine Bach single-handedly changed the jean-shorts game (jorts, if you prefer) when she donned her iconic cut-offs and plaid shirt as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard.
She was most recently in my mom’s favorite soap opera, The Young and the Restless.
Molly Ringwald

If you wanted to define the 80s by one actor, it undoubtedly has to be Molly Ringwald.
She became an icon with films like Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and The Breakfast Club.
She’s still acting today and can be seen playing Archie Andrews’ mom in Riverdale.
Debbie Harry

The lead singer of Blondie became a punk-rock legend in the ’80s.
Even after Blondie broke up (and then got back together), Harry continued to make music. She released several solo albums in the ’90s and ’00s.
Judd Nelson

Add another to the Brat Pack list!
Judd Nelson, of course, played everyone’s favorite tortured rebel who got the girl in The Breakfast Club.
He does mostly voice work now, having provided the voice for Hot Rod in a number of Transformers TV shows.
