Oh no, this can’t be good.
Whenever fans are in shock about something, it’s never good shock, it’s always “freak out on Twitter for two days straight” shock.

It is unfortunately, official.
Our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will not be returning to the MCU.
He’s jumping back to SONY, to reunite with Venom.
Which, at least, one good thing comes out of that.
Tom Holland and Tom Hardy acting in the same movie together?
I can’t wait for all that chaotic energy.
But people are still mad about the massive plot hole this leaves in the MCU.
And with good reason, too!
How on earth are they going to fix this, considering how Far From Home ended?!
Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and basically anyone with a heart are all freaking out about it.
How could Sony do this to us? Or maybe it’s Disney’s fault?
Someone needs to take the blame, we need to be outraged and stat!
But one person was pretty tight-lipped on the split, and that was Tom Holland!
In fact, for quite some time all he did was post Instagram photos!
Like this one of him in a sweet car!
And one of him and Robert Downey Jr!
Which, obviously, made us all weep, cry, moan, and more.
We will never see them team up as superheroes again! I’m still ugly crying.
But at D23 Tom Holland did have something to say:
“Listen, it’s been a crazy week, but I want you to know, I am grateful from the bottom of my heart, and I love you 3000 .”
Ugh, cue the tears.
Quite frankly, this is a split I will never get over.
