Being a mom comes with its own unique set of challenges . You worry about everything from your child’s development, their happiness, and of course their personal safety.
The last thing that mothers should ever have to contend with is judgment from their fellow moms , but that’s exactly what’s happening to Megan Fox. But instead of staying silent, she hit back in the best way possible .
Being a mother is one of the most difficult jobs on the planet.
Cast away all the romantic ideals that come with being pregnant and giving birth. Pregnancy changes your body in ways you could never imagine and the birthing room is the closest thing many will ever come to the battlefield.
Once your baby is brought into the world, the emotional toll quickly replaces the physical one.
Author Elizabeth Stone once said, “Making the decision to have a child — it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body .”
Yet despite knowing full well just how impossible a task being a mother can be, there are those who seem content to cut moms down.
This is especially true when it comes to the most visible people in our society, i.e. — our favorite and most famous celebrities.

Recently, ‘The Big Gold Brick’ star received a rather snarky series of comments on her most recent collage of sexy backyard selfies.
“Where your kids at?” Instagram user @sasharay2022 asked rhetorically.
” Who watching her children ?” @breeholms79 echoed in disapproval.
Understandably frustrated, Megan decided to clap back at her mom-shaming haters.
“Wait wait wait. I…have kids?!? Oh my god[sic] I knew I forgot something!! Quick, someone call the valet at the Beverly Hills Hotel. That’s the last place I remember seeing them. Maybe someone turned them into the lost and found .”
What’s surprising is that @breeholms79’s Instagram feed is filled with posts like this:
Her page is littered with similar types of quotes, dispersed in between shameless selfies and other self-aggrandizing posts. Yet she freely judges Megan Fox without the slightest glint of irony.
What’s even more perplexing is that the vast majority of people making these types of comments are women.
In this day and age, what man with half a brain between his ears would ever dare to tell a woman how to raise her children?
So the question becomes, “Why are women mom-shaming and attacking other women without provocation?”
The answer, at least according to the experts, is a rather simple one — they do it to make themselves feel better about their own insecurities.
“Some women feel they need to shame another mother so they can feel a little better about themselves, even if it’s unconscious,” LMFT Melissa Divarius Thompson explains.
“So when another mother makes a different choice, it’s sometimes easier to shame and blame, rather than sit with the fear that we made the wrong decision,” she says.
This, in turn, causes women to revert from their community of mothers and instills feelings of isolation.
Thompson goes on to say that this toxic behavior often causes women to become anxious , and can even add to postpartum depression.
So what can we do to help moms and women on the whole? That’s easy — stop the shame.
Stand up to mom-shaming the same way you’d stand up to bullying, don’t keep sweet and stay silent on the matter. And instead of offering your criticism, here’s an idea — why not try helping instead?
