The news of Toni and David’s split hit the internet shortly after photos of the latter kissing and cozying up to another woman, known as Shannon Egan, 41, on a beach in Sydney surfaced online. According to a report from The Daily Mail , the duo arrived at the beach early in the day. Then, they spent 15 minutes in the water before getting coffee.
An eyewitness also recalled seeing the couple all over each other. Other pictures showed Shannon, donning an open shirt and sunglasses, and David, wearing only black shorts, having a deep conversation while resting on a sea wall. In the meantime, David hasn’t responded to the pictures.
The Split Was Already Looming
While many argued that the pictures were the cause for Toni’s announcement, others believed that a divorce was already looming, following a cryptic post the actress made on her Instagram Story hours before the divorce statement. The post which Toni made was a quote reshared from another account.
The quote noted that no matter one’s current situation, they could create something better if they could imagine it. Although the reason for the post was unknown, many believed Toni reshared it due to problems in her life and marriage.
