It isn’t unheard of for actors and actresses to make drastic changes to their appearances in order to be better suited for a movie role.
In fact, it happens all the time! Whether it’s a dramatic haircut or an extreme body transformation, actors who are truly dedicated to their craft are willing to make these sacrifices!

But Shia LaBeouf might have just taken things to the next level!
You may have already heard of Shia LaBeouf’s upcoming film, *The Tax Collector*.
He plays “Creeper”, a tax collector for a notorious crime lord.
And to prove his commitment to the role, Shia got a massive chest tattoo that includes the word “creeper” written across his torso.
“He’s one of the best actors I’ve worked with,” the film’s director, David Ayer, said about Shia.
“And he’s the most committed to body and soul,” he added .
Tbh, I’ve thought this about him ever since I saw Even Stevens .
“He got his whole chest tattooed. So he kind of goes all in, and I’ve never known anyone that committed.”
Nothing says commitment quite like getting your entire chest inked, am I right?
I don’t know that I’d be able to do that though…
This isn’t the first time he has done something drastic for the sake of a movie role, however.
“He had a tooth pulled on Fury ,” the director noted .
That’s right. While filming Fury with Brad PItt, Shia did not hold back…
His *Fury* co-star, Logan Lerman, told British GQ that Shia literally cut his own face because he didn’t think the makeup looked realistic enough.
“We were in make-up and they were putting cuts on Shia and I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, it looks good.’ And Shia was like, ‘No, it doesn’t look real.'”
“Then he walks out into the hallway and says, ‘Hey man, wanna see something fun? Check this out…’ and he takes out a knife and cuts his face.”
“And for the whole movie he kept opening these cuts on his face. That’s all rea l.”
Logan also explained that Shia insisted on having one of his teeth pulled.
“I mean, he didn’t do it himself, he did go to a dentist and asked them to pull his tooth out but yeah, what an odd request,” he said.
And it looks like Shia is taking things up a notch! This time, instead of intentionally injuring himself, he got a whole chest tattoo — which is equally, if not *more* intense than cutting your own face and having teeth removed.
Some think it’s crazy, some think it’s genius.
Either way, there’s no denying how dedicated he is to his craft!
The current general consensus from fans is that Shia LaBeouf might be a little bit out of his mind — in a good way.
There are probably not many people out there who would get a tattoo for a movie role, let alone an entire chest piece.
This fan pointed out just how serious Shia is about making sure his character is as authentic as possible.
Even at the cost of his own permanent appearance.
If he doesn’t win an award for this movie I’m going to be mad .
Fans seem to have a TON of respect for him for doing this.
Let’s just hope the movie is a box office hit.
It would be really disappointing to get a tattoo as big as this one for a movie that was only kind of good .
But if Shia is in it, I’m optimistic that it’s going to be amazing!

I knew from that moment on that he was going to be a national treasure, and now look! We were right!
Some think that he is absolute legend for getting this done, solely for the sake of a movie.
They better be paying him well because this is proof that he has incredible work ethic.
