Actress and philanthropist Sharon Stone recently told fans the devastating news that her 11-month-old godson River was in the hospital following “total organ failure.” The 63-year-old took to social media last week to ask for prayers for River’s recovery and shared of photo of the child in the hospital.
On Monday, Sharon revealed her godson had passed away in a heartbreaking new post.

Fans were devastated to learn that actress Sharon Stone’s 11-month-old godson and nephew River was in the hospital last week.
Posting a photo of River in the hospital on Thursday, the actress asked for prayers on behalf of her family.
“My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today. Please pray for him. We need a miracle,” she captioned the photo.
The comment section was quickly filled with words of love and support from Sharon’s friends.
” Sending light and healing love,” wrote Kate Hudson.
“Holding you and your family in prayer,” echoed Ava DuVernay.
On Monday, Sharon shared the news that River had passed away.
In an emotional video set to the Eric Clapton song “Tears in Heaven” the 63-year-old shared River’s birth date and death date: “River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021.”
The comment section was quickly filled with condolences from Sharon’s peers.
“I am so sorry. My lord,” wrote Selma Blair.
“Noooooooooooooo. I am in disbelief. Oh Sharon, there are no words, other than I’m so sorry for your whole family’s loss. I am praying for all of you at this unimaginable time,” shared Debra Messing.
