What’s one of the best things about being a mom?
Embarrassing your kids, of course.
Selma Blair recently turned the tables on her son, Arthur, after he pushed her in the pool.
What’s a mom to do when her kid throws a challenge down like that? Escalate, of course.
That’s what moms DO!
Selma is currently going through a brutal medical regime.

Her journey with being diagnosed with MS hasn’t been easy. She’s been very open about the trials and tribulations of trying to balance her health, her career, and being a single mom.
Recently, she underwent chemotherapy.

She also shaved all her hair off.
Since the chemo resulted in gradual hair loss, she and her son, Arthur, decided to take matters into their own hands.

They cut off all of her hair, then shaved off the rest.
She’s also been struggling with her vision.

In an emotional Instagram post, Selma outlined that the chemo has affected her vision.
“Since chemotherapy and high doses of prednisone I have lost any ability to focus with my eyes,” she wrote .
“Panic sets in. Will this be permanent? How do I get to one more doctor appointment? How will I work and write when I can’t see and it’s so painful?”

However, she’s remaining positive, “And then a simmering of knowing. Underneath all the doubt. It will be ok. Take it smaller to each moment. Let the body heal. Nourish. Walk slowly. Burst into laughter. Give my nervous system a chance.”
Ever the lighthearted spirit, Selma posted this collage of her beside Pitbull, saying “I could not place who I reminded myself of @pitbull!”

“D**n. I’m sexy. #pitbull #selma”
She also posted a few funny videos from her stay in the hospital, “Goofing around in hospital this summer,” she wrote.
“I thought you just put these things on and you looked like Kylie Jenner,” Selma joked.
Lately, she and Arthur have been spending a lot of time together, as per her Instagram account.
This video made me truly CACKLE.
And because she’s such a believer in beauty, Selma and her son have spent many happy days by the pool.

She and Arthur have headed out to the pool as early as 7AM! Now that’s a dedicated mom.
Recently, she attempted a dive in the pool.

As you can see, it didn’t go to plan.
She wrote, “I sometimes doubt my child’s ethics. Preparing to dive. A very big deal for me. Instead, I felt a tiny hand on swimsuit and lost any coordination. #terror #punkkid #payback is coming.”
She asked her commenters for revenge ideas.

Guys, I cannot sit here and pretend I didn’t laugh out loud at that first suggestion.
For every struggle that comes with being a parent, there is apparently 3 ways to mess with your kids. Amazing.
Ah, a classic revenge move.

Pete suggested that Selma turn off the wifi, which is a torture none of us could endure for long. Or maybe that’s just me.
He might be onto something here, but that’s not what Selma went with…
Oh, here’s where she got the idea.

“Looks like he definitely got you, and he almost scared the bottoms off of you, literally!” That may have been the lightbulb moment for Selma.
Either that, or it’s great coincidental foreshadowing, because…
And I oop—

No bottoms? No problem.
Selma decided to stop Arthur in his tracks by ditching her bottoms altogether.
She wrote, “Victory. I don’t give up. #bottomsup [whale emoji] my boy is a #crackup”
Her followers LOVED it.

Actress Naomi Watts thought the idea was “perfection.”
It’s so amazing to see so many big celebrities rallying behind Selma and supporting her through her journey with MS. There is good in this world.
Some people were concerned with who snapped the picture.

Many people quickly responded and pointed out that Selma stated a number of times in the comments that Arthur didn’t take the shot.
So, no worries around here! Back to the fun comments, guys.
Puns began flying.

I love that Selma genuinely takes time to read and respond to as many comments as possible.
And thank god she saw this one, because it was a groan-worthy pun that deserved that laughing emoji.
I call shade!

Loop Loft had the time to make jokes, huh?
A lot of puns got made, and the truly good jokes got skated over in favor of them. So, here go you, Loop Loft. This was a solid comment.
Guys, so many puns happened.

There’s something about butts that brings out the worst puns in people.
I guess it’s nice to know that humanity can still rally together and make *terrible* jokes when the occasion calls for it.
Wait, I have one more pun.

They’re not all going to be good ones, but you know what? Points for trying. “E” for effort, and all that jazz.
If you have any puns to make, please leave them in the comments to entertain your fellow readers.
The floor is yours!
