The Unexpected Friendship
Though the star is very present on her social media, no one expected to see her with Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz , during a vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico. The three of them were spotted arriving at a private airport, and apparently, the group is going to spend New Year’s Eve together with other friends. Since their arrival, the trio has been photographed spending time at the beach.

The singer loves to celebrate her culture and share it with her friends; in 2017, she spent a few days in Los Cabos with several girlfriends, and she even invited her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber, to have a Christmas dinner with her grandparents.

This isn’t the first time Selena has hung out with another celebrity; however, after her statements on her documental My Mind & Me , people were surprised to see her so friendly with another star. During a scene, Gomez said, “I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor (Swift), so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong.”
What About Francia Raisa?
Her words sparked a controversy, which included Francia Raisa. Selena and Francia supposedly have been friends for over fifteen years; they were so close that Raisa donated one of her kidneys to the singer back in 2017 after she had complications due to her Lupus.

Even though Raisa didn’t make a public statement on the matter, she commented on an Instagram post from E! online talking about Gomez. She wrote “Interesting,” and soon after she unfollowed Selena.
The Singer Clapped Back
A couple of days later, the singer posted a TikTok with the caption, “sorry I didn’t mention every person I know,” ending the controversy. There are a lot of rumors that affirm that Raisa and Gomez had a fight that nearly ended their friendship a couple of years ago; still, they reconciled in 2021.
Gomez Looks For The Funny Side Of Everything
The actress has been very spoken about her disease and all of her mental health struggles. She joked about her donated kidney, saying she named her Fred in honor of comedian Fred Armisen because she loves Portlandia , she added, “I’ve never met him, but I’m secretly hoping he finds that out just because I want him to be like, ‘That’s weird.’”
