Rob Lowe can’t get enough of his wife.
The Outsiders actor has been married to his sweetheart, Sheryl, since 1991.
She’s been there for him through thick and thin, helping turn his darkest days into light, as she helped him overcome his addiction to drugs and alcohol.
As a result, the actor can’t say enough nice things about the woman who saved his life.

This especially goes for men who are trying to overcome addiction. Their partner can be a shining beacon of hope at the end of a dark tunnel — the reason for them to change their lives.
We’ve seen this happen time and time again with Hollywood men.
Take Samuel L. Jackson, for example.
He’s been with his wife, LaTanya Richardson, for 50 years. The couple have one daughter, Zoe, together.
When Samuel struggled with addiction , it was their daughter who found the actor lying on the kitchen floor with substances all around him.
To this day, he credits his family for getting him sober.
His wife was the one who took him to rehab.
“I credit her because she could have just taken Zoe (their daughter), and walked out and been done with me. But she didn’t,” he said.
“That’s a greater love than I will ever know. Because I don’t know that I would’ve done that,” he said.
Truer words haven’t been spoken!
A similar situation happened to Back to the Future actor, Matthew J. Fox. After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, he really struggled with this diagnosis.
This despair led him to turn to the bottle, much to the dismay of his wife, Tracy Pollan.
The pair met while Pollan played his girlfriend on Family Ties .
“I started to drink heavily, and it was screwing up my relationships and screwing up my marriage and screwing up my work,” Fox told Men’s Health .
Thankfully, with the help of his family, he was able to stop drinking.
Rob Lowe also knows a thing or two about a woman being his saving grace through addiction.
In an interview with People , the actor recalled meeting his wife, Sheryl, the renowned makeup artist (now a fine jewelry designer) on the set of Lowe’s 1990 erotic thriller Bad Influence .
Even during some of his darkest days, he sensed that she was the one for him.
“I had the feeling that if I was ever going to be able to make it work with anybody, it was Sheryl,” Lowe said, recalling feeling “seen” for the first time in his life.
In addition to not being sober, Lowe also struggled with commitment at the time.
“Intimacy and I were not very well acquainted, until very late in my life,” he said. He was at a crossroads: he knew that his partying lifestyle wouldn’t work for the life he wanted with Sheryl.
“Alcohol and drugs were only going to make that next to impossible,” he said.
Thankfully, he chose the right path — the one with Sheryl, and entered rehab to get sober.
The pair married in 1991 and welcomed two sons together; Matthew in 1993 and John Owen in 1995.
“I’m happy I lived the life that I lived because I have no regrets, but I was super ready to coach Little League, carve pumpkins on Halloween, read books and serve hot lunch on Wednesdays,” Lowe said.
He will soon be celebrating 32 years of sobriety in May. “I really, really loved every minute of it.”
Gratitude is top of mind for the actor lately. He feels especially grateful that Sheryl took a chance on him.
“She saw things in me that nobody had ever seen before,” he says, referring to their 30-year marriage as one of life’s greatest “miracles.”
“I still think she’s the hottest, sexiest, most beautiful, insane, complicated, entertaining person that I know, in addition to being a great mother,” he said.
