Todd Chrisley recently celebrated his first prison visit. They were his daughter, Lindsie, and his mom, Nanny Faye. The visit was made less than a week after he started his 12-year sentence.
Todd Was Elated About Lindsie And Nanny Faye’s Visit
Todd’s mom, Faye, and his daughter, Lindsie made a trip to the Federal Correctional Institute Pensacola in Florida. The visit was made over the weekend and confirmed by ET . Chrisley resumed his prison term on January 17th. This was a result of his and Julie’s federal tax fraud case convictions.
She Discussed The Visit On Her Podcast
Lindsie made mention of it on Wednesday’s episode of her podcast, The Southern Tea . She talked about an impromptu road trip. Lindsie also mentioned driving for two hours into the trip. Still, on the podcast, she talked about hitting the beach which made people anxious about her visit.
Lindsie Talked About Adjusting And Moving Forward

In the same episode on Wednesday, Lindsie talked about adjusting and moving forward. She opened up about the struggle of her family. Although the outcome of the legal case was not what they had hoped for
A Sense Of Closure
Lindsie revealed that there was a sense of closure and peace. She continued that now, her family will be able to adjust. At the initial stage, Todd and Julie were supposed to be two hours away from each other. They were to report to prisons that were in Florida.
They Were Sent To Different Facilities
However, Julie was sent to Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky. She will be serving her seven-year-old sentence there. In the podcast episode, Todd shared that although things were rough, they could have been worse.
Todd And Julie’s Sentences Came After A Three-week Trial

After a three-week long trial, the couple who are known for their reality show Chrisley Knows Best was found guilty of all counts. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , the trial took place in court in Georgia. Aside from the convictions, Julie was also convicted of wire fraud. The couple was accused of submitting falsified documents when they were applying for loans and rental property.

Todd and his wife faced criminal bank fraud and tax evasion charges. The trial started on May 16, 2022. This was after the couple was inducted by a federal grand jury in August 2019. They denied all 12 counts of bank and wire fraud, conspiracy, and tax evasion. On August 12, 2019, Chrisley posted on Instagram that the blame was on the family’s trusted employee.
They Were Initially Cleared From State Tax Evasion

In October 2019, the couple was cleared of a state tax evasion charge in Georgia. However, they still faced federal charges for evading federal taxes. The TV stars were later sentenced by a federal judge on November 21st. Lindsie shared with People how her parents spent their final days before reporting to prison.
Todd and Julie’s Last Moments Before Their Jail Terms
She shared that they lived every day like it was their last. Lindsie said that her parents were dedicating their time to their children, therapy, and biblical studies. Todd posted one final time on Instagram before reporting to prison. He posted a video of Karen Peck performing Four Days Late but the video has been deleted.
