If what is being reported is true, then fans of Bridget Jones’s Diary will finally have a fourth film to curl up and cry to. To be fair, it’s what we deserve. After all — everything is making a comeback these days, so why not Bridget Jones ?
As reported by The Sun , Renée Zellweger, 53, is supposedly on board to make another box office smash , and fans are over the MOON!

On Friday, it was reported by “The Sun” that producers have been “secretly” working on the fourth installment.
“There have been few more successful or more popular rom-coms than Bridget Jones over the last couple of decades, but everyone thought this one was done for good,” a source told the publication.
“However the producers always knew there was a huge market for another sequel when the right story was available, and this feels like the right time to tell it.”
“It will be seven or eight years since the last movie by the time this one hits the big screen, and fans will be desperate to find out what happened. It’s a British classic.”
Earlier this year, Renée confirmed she would love to reprise the role one more time.
While chatting on The Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM the actress was asked if she thought there would be another film: “I hope so. I hope so. I mean, it’s fun, you know, she’s so much fun.”
“I love her. And I think it’s really rare to get to follow a character through different stages in her life,” she explained.
“And in a way that we find her relatable, because she parallels our own life experiences at that time. I mean, Helen did write another book, so there’s that,” Renée said of the Bridget Jones’s Diary author, Helen Fielding.
Well, I think I speak for all fans when I say I hope this happens!
