Being a woman in Hollywood means being presented a never-ending list of things you should and shouldn’t do — just as Florence Pugh! The Little Women star has recently been making international headlines after rocking a stunning, sheer pink Valentino gown at the couture house’s fashion show in Italy this past weekend.
Of course, here in North America, women’s bodies are getting policied more and more every day, so, unfortunately, the attention her nipple-bearing gown received here is disappointing, but not that surprising.
After the Midsommer actress took to Instagram to defend herself, and women everywhere, fellow Brit Regé-Jean Page also spoke up.
On Friday, 26-year-old actress Florence Pugh was spotted looking radiant at a Valentino fashion show in Italy.
Wearing a sheer pink gown designed by the iconic fashion house, Florence quickly made headlines due to the fact that she dared (insert eye-roll) to free the nipple.
Taking to Instagram later that weekend, Florence had a lot to say to those who had an issue with her frock.

“Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it. Whether it be negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing,” she wrote . “I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during or even now after.”
“What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for everyone to see. You even do it with your job titles and work emails in your bio..?”
“It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers, what’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be,” the Little Women star added.
She went on to address those who felt the need to comment on her breast size, and added that she was grateful she had learned to love her smaller chest.

“I’ve lived in my body for a long time. I’m fully aware of my breast size and am not scared of it.”
Florence did accuse her haters of being afraid of breasts, though.
“What’s more concerning is…. Why are you so scared of breasts? Small? Large? Left? Right? Only one? Maybe none? What. Is. So. Terrifying. It makes me wonder what happened to you to be so content on being so loudly upset by the size of my boobs and body..?” she asked.
“If being loudly abusive towards women publicly in 2022 is so easy for you, then the answer is that it is you who doesn’t know. Grow up. Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect humans. Life will get a whole lot easier, I promise. And all because of two cute little nipples….” she finished .
As you can imagine, women all over the world were giving Florence a standing ovation because let’s be real — SOMEONE had to say it!

Now, fellow Brit Regé-Jean Page, best known for being the hunky Duke of Hastings on the hit Netflix series Bridgerton , is defending the actress, and women everywhere, by standing up against the sexist rhetoric.
The actor shared an image of Florence on his Instagram Story on Sunday, along with the caption: “What. Is. So. Terrifying?”
“Take a look at yourself fellas,” he added, as per DailyMail . “Then take a look at your mates and step up when it’s time to step up. When the boys are out of line, have a word. ‘The weird thing about misogyny is men actually listen to other men .”
Now that’s the Duke I know and LOVE!
