Prince Harry ’s shocking allegations against his brother and father, Prince William and King Charles, have been circulating lately as details of his yet-to-be-released memoir, Spare , continue to leak. While the royal family has not responded to his claims, we may now have an idea of what the consequences will be for him.
‘Written Out Of The Script’
A report by The Sunday Times ’ Royal Editor, Roya Nikkhah, claims that the Duke of Sussex, 38, is being “written out of the script” of his father’s coronation in May.
Prince Harry Will Have No Role In The Coronation
Nikkhah also took to Twitter with additional details, saying, “I can also reveal that Prince Harry has been written out of the script for the Coronation, with no official role in the service if he attends.”
What Will Prince William’s Role Be?
The tweet continues, “Breaking with tradition, Charles will scrap royal dukes kneeling and paying homage to the monarch. Only William will perform that role.”
Prince Harry can attend the ceremony if he chooses to, though.
Commenters Weigh In
Commenters were divided in their views. Some applauded the decision, saying that Prince Harry was a “traitor” and had no place in the coronation – or any royal event – anyway.
More Reactions
Others would have wanted him to take part in the ceremony, suggesting that not making him swear fealty to the King was like giving him a free pass. Still, others thought he shouldn’t even be allowed to attend, while some doubted he would want to be there anyway after making all those bombshell revelations.
William Is Reportedly ‘Burning With Anger’
Quoting sources, The Sunday Times also says that Prince William is “burning with anger” over his estranged brother’s claims.
Harry’s Allegations Against William
Among his allegations was that Prince William violently attacked him over his and his wife Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their roles as senior royals. The Prince of Wales also allegedly called Markle “difficult,” “r**e,” and “abrasive.”
His Allegations Against Charles
As for his father, the Duke of Sussex claims in Spare that King Charles was worried that Markle would “overshadow” him. He also allegedly said he couldn’t afford to support her financially.
‘Spare’ Will Be Released On January 10
Spare is set to be released on January 10. Copies of its Spanish version, En la Sombra , were prematurely sold in Spain on January 5, resulting in details being widely circulated. Prince Harry reportedly earned an advance of at least $20 million for the memoir.
