Every once in a while, something super rare happens. If you’re lucky , you might be around for one of those rare events. But if not, you’d better hope someone else caught a picture of it.
And lucky for you, these people took these pictures of some pretty rare things that have happened to or around them. They’re the kinds of things that’ll make you say, “you sure don’t see this every day.”
This notebook has two covers for some reason.

It seems like printing errors happen a lot. But something like this still seems pretty rare. After all, the cover page is made from a different material than the ones you actually write on.
So then, which cover would you end up using?
“Macro photo of a flea.”

Fleas are tiny, miserable things. They make your dog or cat miserable, and in turn they make you miserable. But at least they’re small, so you don’t have to look at them too much.
…Well. This is something you definitely don’t see a lot, and probably won’t need to see ever again.
“Hummingbird feet are smaller than the average water droplets.”

Getting a good quality photo of a hummingbird seems like something only people with more patience than me could do. But one that has water droplets in motion too? I dunno, that seems like it would be an even harder shot to get.
“Horse drawn carriage with casket on the street.”

When a loved one is being laid to rest, people usually transport them in a hearse. But this corpse seems to be riding in style, which is honestly good for them. A surprisingly unconventional, yet pretty awesome way to reach your final resting place.
What are the odds of finding two fortune cookies in the same bag?

I would argue that the person who received these two fortune cookies is pretty fortunate (okay, I’ll show myself out).
Manufacturing error or not, that’s for sure something you probably won’t see in restaurants all that often. Or at all, probably.
This poorly camouflaged cellphone tower.

Some cell towers are disguised as trees. Probably to help make them less of an eyesore, especially when they sit among nature.
But this one? It’s like whoever put it up didn’t even try. That’s the saddest disguise I’ve ever seen. Luckily, they don’t always look like that.
The way that a lightning strike hit this piece of asphalt.

They say you’re more likely to get struck by lightning than to win the lottery, but that doesn’t mean you’re very likely to get hit by the stuff. In fact, finding a lightning strike in general isn’t a super common occurrence.
But when you find one, it sort of makes you terrified by how powerful they are.
“Baby terrapin turtles. The colour variation is interesting to see.”

These baby turtles don’t even look like real turtles. They look like the little ceramic turtle statues you can get from flea markets and art shows. But they definitely are cute, and it’s super cool how different all of their colors and patterns can be.
“Store selling corn by the box for $1.”

I guess it’s that time of year already. The time where we have so much corn, but not a lot of people still buying it. They’re basically giving it away at that price.
For a dollar, though, I’d probably end up going home with a box.
“I was watching Limitless and realized that I have the same jasmine tea box as the one they used in the movie.”

Now, what are the odds of something like this happening? What are the chances that you have the exact thing someone is holding in a movie? And not, like, a more common household thing, like a can of Coke or some Oreos. A specific thing like this. Pretty low, I’d say.
“She’s got 2 sets of bottom fangs at the moment!”

I was today years old when I learned that cats teeth grow in. I guess it makes sense, since their mouths are so tiny when they’re born, and not at all tiny when they’re adults.
Still, how many of us actually get to see it happening?
This sink that’s been made out of some pretty random things.

So the basin of the sink is a cooking pot, and the base is made out of an old sewing machine table? It’s pretty cool, in a vintage sort of way, though it might be hard to match with a lot of decor.
Definitely not your average sink, that’s for sure.
This tree that’s covered in so many butterflies!

Not only are these butterflies absolutely beautiful, but there are so many of them! This feels like the kind of thing you’d see if you just cast a magic spell, or as a sign that you’re about to have really good luck. So pretty!
“My mother-in-law’s clothesline of fledging butterflies.”

Speaking of a lot of butterflies, there’s this. This is basically a monarch butterfly farm. All of these butterflies are in different stages of metamorphosis, from being in the chrysalis, to having finished fully emerging. You definitely don’t see anything like this all that often.
“My Ring Pop was slowly melted by my lamp.”

Is it candle wax? Nope. A spilled drink? Nope. It’s a melted Ring Pop. Even though any of the possibilities as to why this spill is here would be weird, this one sort of takes the cake. How do you even let something like this happen?
This perfectly timed photo of an airplane.

There’s nothing like seeing a sign pointing toward an airport, that also just so happens to be pointing in the same direction as an airplane that’s flying by. I’m sure plenty of people have seen this happen, but few probably thought to take a picture.
“The sky right before a flash storm in Iowa.”

I feel like, most of the time, storms just show up without us even thinking about it. But every once in a while, we see super dark, ominous storm clouds roll in before our very eyes. It’s always such a strange sight to see.
“Just relocated from Atlanta to Colorado. This is my new WFH setup.”

Yeah, my work from home setup has nothing on this one. In fact, most people probably don’t have a great setup like this one. That view is incredible! All those mountains looks super picturesque.
Am I tempted to move to Colorado now? Almost.
What happens when someone drives on the wrong side of the freeway.

This is a good sign to have, but one you probably don’t ever want to see. Wrong way drivers are dangerous, to say the least. Hopefully, you never have to encounter one.
Hopefully you never end up being one either.
“Plane crash on the I5 freeway in Southern California.”

From the looks of it, the driver/passengers of the plane are okay. But man, that must be a terrifying sight. It’s probably the last thing anyone would expect to see on their drive home.
It’s a good thing that no one seems to be hurt.
