Pete Davidson is back and hotter than ever in a new Reformation campaign, and he’s got everyone talking! The guy who used to be covered in ink has been going through years of painful removal just to start fresh.
Let’s get into it.
Pete Davidson just revealed his tattoo-free look, and fans have a lot to say
With his clean slate look on full display, people can’t help but wonder—why the sudden change? What made him ditch nearly 200 tattoos? And how painful was the process?
His Reformation campaign is showing off a side of him we haven’t seen before
Rocking sustainable boxer briefs and an Official Boyfriend sweatshirt, the former SNL star and Dog Man voice actor is giving full-on boyfriend energy. Shot by Angelo Pennetta and directed by Matthew Frost, the campaign pretty much paints Pete as the ultimate dream guy.
He spent years getting rid of nearly 200 tattoos
The standup comedian has been on this tattoo removal journey for years now, slowly getting rid of almost 200 tattoos. He didn’t sugarcoat it when he talked about the removal process on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The removal process was actually way more painful than getting the tattoos
He explained, “They’ve gotta burn off a layer of your skin, and then it has to heal for, like, six to eight weeks, and you can’t get in the sunlight. And then you gotta do it, like, 12 more times.” Sounds brutal, but he assured everyone, “They’re almost gone.”
He admits most of his tattoos were impulsive decisions
On the show, Pete admitted to Fallon that most of his tattoos were just ‘impulsive decisions’.
“I was a sad boy… You would just think of something and get it [tattooed]?” he said.
Eventually, he realized the ink didn’t really feel like him anymore, so he decided to wipe the slate clean—well, almost. He’s keeping maybe two or three.
His fashion choices back then were just as wild as his tattoos
Pete’s whole vibe has changed, and it’s not just about the tattoos.
He even looked back on his old fashion choices, saying, “If you Google any picture of me from ages 20 to 27, it’s purple shirts, fedoras, all these chains, and f—king dumb Rolexes.” Safe to say, he’s moved on from that era.
He’s also working on turning an old ferry into something unexpected
On top of everything else, Pete’s also busy turning that old Staten Island Ferry he bought with SNL buddy Colin Jost into something totally unexpected.
“It’s like four or five floors, and on each floor we’re going to do something interesting—a hotel up top, movie theater, an entertainment theater, shopping kiosks,” he shared. He also teased that things are moving faster than people think, saying, “We have a really extensive plan, and we are a lot closer than people think.”
