Yeah… it’s going to be hard to explain yourself out of that one.
This poor woman shared her story with the “True Off My Chest” community on Reddit.
She began by explaining that she came home early from work one day. When she saw her sister’s car in the driveway, she just assumed that she was there to drop off food from her work.
Instead, she found her husband and her sister naked in the kitchen.
And yes, they were having sex. This was in the kitchen that she paid for and considers her “pride and joy.”
After she found them and they saw her, she got in her car and kept driving until she found a hotel.
She was in absolute disbelief over what she saw.
“My sister, my only family, and my best friend, the one who’s supposed to be there for me and support me,” she wrote.
“My husband, my person, my other half, the one who’s supposed to love and respect me. The two most important people in my life have ruined everything.”
She ended up blocking them since she didn’t want to hear their excuses.
After sharing her post with Reddit, the responses were overwhelming.
“Poor OOP has been screwed over by all the people that were supposed to have her back,” one wrote.
“I’m so very sorry OP, I can’t imagine the pain and anger you must be feeling rn :(” another wrote.
Many kind Redditors also had advice for her situation. “Unblock them and just let their calls go to voicemail. Turn the ringer off for each of them in your contacts,” one suggested.
“That way you can get recorded proof of their apologies and excuses via voicemail. You may need that type of proof for your divorce.”
Another suggested that she move back to the house to ensure that her husband doesn’t get it in the divorce.
A few days after her original post, the woman gave an update.
First, she thanked everyone for their kind words and advice. She also let people know that she did unblock them and kept the texts and calls as evidence.
Then, she shared that after a really good cry, she started figuring out her next steps.
A kind friend offered to let her stay in her spare room, while two others helped her with her financials and consulting a divorce lawyer. Fortunately, she makes a stable income to support herself.
They also don’t have kids, so that means no custody agreements.
As for how the affair happened, she shared that it all started when she went on a girl’s trip and joked about cheating on her husband because she said that’s usually what happens on girl’s trips.
After the sister said the husband could get even by sleeping with her, they did it once.
“One time lead to two to three then to whenever they could do it,” she wrote. “There was never any evidence or signs or anything that I was going to or even thinking of cheating.”
Since she and her sister ended their relationship with their mother years prior, she feels as though she has no blood relatives left.
