Parenting has never been an easy job . It’s difficult to balance the needs of kids with your own needs , all while trying to raise your children into functional human beings.
Sometimes, it’s just too much. But if you’re lucky, the stress can occasionally be offset by a genuinely awesome moment. Maybe that moment consists of cutting your kid’s hair so he looks like an old man.
Seriously.
Baldness: is it a joke?

Speaking as a person who’s balding and will soon be fully bald, I have to admit that I sometimes feel resentful of other people having rich, luscious heads of hair. Coming from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have enough hair, I feel like hair shouldn’t be wasted.
That said, I’m willing to make some exceptions.
Who’s the most iconic bald man of all time?

I was sorely tempted to put an image of Larry David up there, but because this article deals directly with a Mr. Burns doppelgänger, I’ll use this gif instead.
If you’ve been living under a rock, Mr. Burns is a miserly, bald old rich man on The Simpsons .
A TikToker gave her kid the Mr. Burns treatment.

TikToker Johanna Clark, who goes by @pink_nade on the platform, posted this video of her 12-year-old son Nathaniel rocking the Mr. Burns cut. Nathaniel can be seen rubbing his hands together in Burnsian fashion. He looks absolutely stoked to have the haircut.
Does it make her a bad mom?

Johanna asked via a text box whether this haircut made her a bad mom. I think we all know the answer to this question: since her son is delighted with the cut, it makes her an awesome mom.
Kids aren’t always so stoked to have these haircuts.

We’ve seen this before, notably in the case of a barber who will give kids “old man” haircuts (for free!) as a punishment. The pics are hilarious, but you have to feel bad for the kids — even if they have been misbehaving.
Are people cool with the Mr. Burns cut?

This comment gets to the heart of the matter. Giving a kid a haircut (or any kind of styling) against their will isn’t cool, but if your kid actually wants a Mr. Burns haircut, why wouldn’t you indulge them?
Hair grows back, but the memories will last forever.

Nathaniel might not find baldness quite so funny once he reaches my age, but until then, both he and his mom have some hilarious videos and pics that they can laugh about.
Only one thing was missing.

To his credit, Nathaniel did the Mr. Burns hand thing and did a funny ghoulish laugh, but in order to truly channel the Mr. Burns spirit, he really should have said his catchphrase of “Excellent.”
It’s worth a watch.
The video, like all good things, doesn’t last long enough. But its six-second runtime is definitely worth checking out. I’ve personally watched it about 15 times.
