Within a week, the police discovered her dead body and the first suspect was her lying boyfriend, 32-year-old Ocastor Ferguson.

Last week on Jan. 18, the search team finally found Kelley’s dead body buried in a Grand Prairie field. The field was only a few kilometers from the Collin Country Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Jim Skinner gave a speech saying they hoped to find Kelley alive but are pleased to move towards closing the case.

Kelley and Ferguson reportedly dated for more than six months since the summer of 2022. They met online when the latter used a pseudonym Kevin Brown until she discovered his secret – he wasn’t who he portrayed himself to be.

Police investigators visited Ferguson’s workplace since he was the first suspect. He admitted what he could – the affair – and denied what he couldn’t admit – seeing Kelley beyond Jan. 10, the day before she went missing.

The jail records show that the police booked Ferguson for kidnapping, murder, and arson, as the suspected cause of death is burning. The police discovered her car burned beyond recognition the day after her family and friends reported her missing.
Ferguson’s Confession
Ferguson said Kelley drove him to work but never returned for their lunch date. However, investigators discovered the suspect was within the victim’s vicinity.

According to The New York Post , Ferguson has been in jail since last Thursday with no attorney on record.

Moreso, the police investigators found Ferguson’s car near Kelley’s home with incriminating evidence – gloves, duct tape, and a blanket. His wife reported the car stolen before the discovery, but the evidence piled against Ferguson.
