Actress and star Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she’s officially married to her partner of a few years now, Bader Shammas, who she met after her move to Dubai and announced she was engaged to last November.
It appears to have been a private ceremony, very out of the spotlight, and the two seem to be extremely happy with their union.
Lindsay Lohan recently made a surprising announcement.
The actress revealed on Instagram that she’s now married to her partner Bader Shammas.
The two were first noted together in 2019, then in 2020 Lohan posted a group photo with him and some friends, mentioning her ‘boyfriend’ in the caption. In November of 2021, she publically announced their engagement.
Like much of their relationship, their wedding was private.
It appears to have been a rather secret ceremony, which tracks with their relationship publicity prior to their marriage.
In fact, this tracks with what Lohan had previously wished for in a partner before she even met Bader.
She had previously described her dream man as someone ‘off the grid’.
She told Howard Stern in 2019, she said, “I want to date a guy that’s a businessman — doesn’t have Instagram, doesn’t have social media, and is completely off the grid in terms of that kind of stuff.”
She was very patient about the wedding.
Though it wasn’t too long of an engagement period, she had told Extra that she wanted to “pace everything”.
“I’m more low-key. […] I’m looking at destinations, I’ve already started talking to a friend of mine about the dress,” she said, “But I want to do things right and I want to pace everything. But it’s an exciting time.”
Looking at how happy she is, it seems her patience was worth it.
The happy couple currently lives in Dubai where Lohan had relocated years earlier.
Like much of their relationship, their marriage is likely to be relatively private, but we’ll get glimpses through Lohan’s social media when she feels like sharing special moments. We wish happiness and health to the newlyweds!
