Liam Payne’s family is getting closer to finalizing plans for his memorial, with arrangements in place for his return to the UK.
The singer’s body is expected to be flown home from Buenos Aires soon, with a large-scale service on the horizon to give loved ones and fans a chance to say goodbye.
The former One Direction singer tragically lost his life last month after falling from a third-floor balcony at Buenos Aires’ Casa Sur Hotel.

Kate had flown back to the U.S. just two days before his death, leaving her and the Payne family devastated by the loss.
While his family has been working through arrangements, Liam’s body has been held at a British cemetery in Buenos Aires as officials investigate.

With the investigation nearing completion, the Payne family is focused on bringing Liam back to the UK for a farewell service.

“Arrangements are in place for that now, and once his body is back in Britain, the next step will be to announce the funeral plan,” they added.

The funeral will be “a very big send-off,” another source close to the family shared, hinting that it may take place at a large cathedral that held sentimental value for Liam.

While final details are still being worked out, an official announcement is expected soon.

At the time of his death, Liam had reportedly taken “pink cocaine,” a substance that contains a mixture of drugs including ketamine, MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.

Throughout all of this, Kate Cassidy has continued to offer her support to the Payne family.

Kate continued: “I will continue to love you for the rest of my life.”
